Richarlison could be set to make an emotional return to Everton after struggling at Tottenham.

Richarlison has been linked with an Everton return this summer after another disappointing season in North London.

Tottenham paid big money to sign the Brazilian from the Toffees in 2022. However, three years later, Spurs supporters are still waiting for the striker to find his best form.

And Daniel Levy could now be ready to cut his losses as the door opens for Richarlison to head back to Merseyside.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin confirms Everton departure

It has been widely reported that Richarlison is keen to remain in Europe amid interest from Saudi Arabia.

However, a return to Everton could now be on the cards despite previous reports playing down the move.

It comes after Dominic Calvert-Lewin took to Instagram (29 June) to confirm his departure from Everton after nine years with the Toffees.

He made it clear what the Evertonians meant to him as he captioned the post, “Thank you for everything,” while also expressing how proud he was to represent the Blues.

Everton will now need to sign a new striker, and could move for Richarlison as a result. Calvert-Lewin’s exit will free up some funds with the Englishman now off the books, and that money could be put toward Richarlison’s transfer fee.

It remains to be seen whether the forward would take up the offer, but there is no doubt that the Evertonians still hold a special place in his heart.

Tottenham must sell Richarlison this summer

While Richarlison is loved by Spurs supporters for his big personality, the striker has struggled to fulfil the demands of a big club.

He netted five times in 24 appearances last season and spent the majority of the campaign on the sidelines. Richarlison was behind Dominic Solanke in the pecking order, and it has been suggested that Thomas Frank will not be changing things anytime soon.

Therefore, it may be better for all involved if Richarlison leaves Tottenham this summer.
