People should “keep an eye on Thomas Frank” if Tottenham Hotspur decide to make a managerial change this summer according to Ben Jacobs, speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT.

Ange Postecoglou achieved what he was drafted in to do when appointed two years ago by winning Tottenham a trophy. Beating Manchester United 1-0 in the final, Spurs won the Europa League to finally end their 17-year trophy drought, while also ensuring they would play Champions League football next season.

Qualifying for Europe’s most prestigious competition through the Europa League was crucial, given that Spurs endured such a poor Premier League campaign. The Lilywhites lost 22 of their 38 games, finishing 17th and avoiding a genuine relegation battle solely through the form of the three teams that finished below them.

Pressure has risen on Spurs’ manager across the season and it is still unclear as to what Postecoglou’s future has in store. According to Jacobs, there is one particular name on the North London side’s shortlist to keep an eye on, should Postecoglou depart.

Frank to Spurs?

Dane has been brilliant with Brentford

Speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, journalist Ben Jacobs revealed that Spurs appreciate a number of managers, with one Premier League candidate standing out from the rest. He said:

“Levy will also know having Champions League football next season makes Spurs an attractive prospect to managerial candidates. Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva have definitely come under consideration, but Bournemouth expect the former to stay. And Silva has said publicly he plans to remain at Fulham.

“I would keep an eye on Thomas Frank if a change is made. Roberto De Zerbi has also been discussed, but Marseille also got Champions League under him this season.”

Frank has been Brentford manager since 2018 and under his guidance, the Bees have risen from the Championship into an established Premier League side, through a combination of brilliant coaching and smart signings. The Dane has been on Spurs’ radar for some time, having caught the attention of many teams.

Frank has shown immense loyalty to Brentford in his seven years at the club so far, but as Jacobs noted, Champions League football could prove too tempting to ignore for Frank, who has been called “exceptional” for his accomplishments with Brentford.
