Tottenham Hotspur shocked Serie A heavyweights Juventus by convincing Paris Saint-Germain to allow Randal Kolo Muani to complete a deadline day switch to Hotspur Way despite the north Londoners putting a less lucrative loan offer on the table, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

Having already splashed the cash in the final stages of the summer transfer window, with Xavi Simons sealing a £51million move from RB Leipzig, head coach Thomas Frank and chairman Daniel Levy went back into the market for a new centre forward as they were eager to secure additional firepower.

Kolo Muani arrived at Tottenham a matter of hours before Monday's 7pm cut-off point, with the loan agreement not including an option or obligation to buy, but he was also wanted in Italy after it became clear that PSG were eager to sanction his last-minute departure from the Parc des Princes.

Spurs Negotiated Cut-Price Kolo Muani Move

Tottenham surprised European giants Juventus by signing Kolo Muani on a loan deal worth close to £4.4million, according to GMS sources, as the breakthrough in negotiations came just one week after the Turin-based side had seen a proposal worth double that figure turned down by PSG.

The striker, who has been described as 'complete' by France international teammate Kylian Mbappe, was given the green light to embark on a fresh challenge with Spurs after it was decided that he would not be given an opportunity to secure regular game time if he remained with last season's Champions League winners.

GMS sources have been informed that Juventus were determined to seal a reunion with Kolo Muani, who enjoyed a prolific loan spell at the Allianz Stadium in the second half of the 2024/25 campaign, and they are stunned that Tottenham won the race for his services with a bargain proposal.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt marksman still has three years remaining on his PSG contract, which allows him to pocket more than £210,000-per-week when bonuses are triggered, but he opted to join Spurs in an attempt to boost his chances of being a key figure at the fast-approaching 2026 World Cup.

Frank is confident that Kolo Muani's productivity in the final third of the pitch will make Tottenham more of an attacking force, GMS sources have learned, while Juventus turned their attention towards recruiting Lois Openda from Bundesliga outfit Leipzig when they were forced to accept that a quickfire return was not on the cards.

Kolo Muani May Complete Permanent Switch

GMS sources have been told that Tottenham are planning to attempt to sign Kolo Muani permanently if he shines during his loan spell, meaning that he could provide the likes of Richarlison and Dominic Solanke with long-term competition for a regular starting berth as Frank continues making his mark after succeeding Ange Postecoglou in the dugout.

The 26-year-old frontman, who has been on PSG's books since making a switch worth up to £76.4million in September 2023, is relishing the opportunity to prove his worth in the Premier League for the first time in his career and is in line to make his debut in the derby against West Ham United on September 13.

Tottenham are pleased to have got Kolo Muani on board after failing to turn his head when they initially showed interest during the winter transfer window, GMS sources understand, and their final decision on reaching a fresh agreement with PSG will depend on his performance levels in the coming months.

GMS sources recently revealed that Spurs held face-to-face talks with Manchester City in an attempt to gauge whether it would be possible to sign Nathan Ake ahead of Monday's 7pm deadline, but a switch failed to come to fruition and there were no last-gasp defensive acquisitions at the capital club.
