Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a significant boost in their pursuit of Jack Grealish as the Manchester City star has given indications that he would be prepared to relocate to the capital if Hotspur Way recruitment chiefs up the ante in their pursuit, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

Spurs head coach Thomas Frank has been given the opportunity to splash the cash since being appointed as Europa League-winning tactician Ange Postecoglou's successor, leading to Mohammed Kudus completing a £55million switch from West Ham United earlier this month.

But Tottenham have been in the market for further creativity ahead of the transfer window slamming shut on September 1, which resulted in attempting to land Morgan Gibbs-White before he signed a new contract at Nottingham Forest, and Grealish is firmly on their radar as a possible recruit.

Grealish Hands Spurs a Major Boost in Pursuit

England international showing willingness to head to capital

Tottenham target Grealish is interested in sealing a move to London if a realistic opportunity opens up, according to GMS sources, and the funds that came with Champions League qualification have resulted in Frank being ahead of fellow suitors West Ham United in the race for his signature.

Although the winger has been described as 'outstanding' by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, he has been weighing up the possibility of embarking on a fresh challenge as it has become clear that he is at serious risk of being deprived of regular game time if he remains at the Etihad Stadium.

GMS sources have been informed that Tottenham have made early enquiries over Grealish, who racked up eight goal involvements over the course of 32 appearances during the 2024/25 campaign, and they have a serious chance of securing his services if they cement their interest with a formal offer.

The England international became the most expensive acquisition in British history when he joined Manchester City in a £100million deal from boyhood club Aston Villa in August 2021, but further big-name arrivals have resulted in him falling down the pecking order in his current surroundings.

Tottenham has been pinpointed as Grealish's most likely destination if he heads to the capital, GMS sources have learned, and his representatives are waiting to discover whether last season's Europa League winners are prepared to head to the negotiating table with a proposal in the coming weeks.

Grealish's Wages Cause Problem for Admirers

Fellow suitors struggling to cover acceptable portion of pay package

GMS sources have been told that Tottenham are ahead of West Ham in the race for Grealish as their more lucrative budget means they have a better chance of finding a way to cover an acceptable portion of his wages if they attempt to lure him away from domestic counterparts Manchester City on loan.

The 29-year-old is on a contract which allows him to pocket £300,000-per-week, a figure the Hammers cannot get close to matching as they go in search of reinforcements, and Spurs are contemplating whether to hand him an exit route from the Etihad Stadium as they prepare for the new season.

Grealish is also open-minded about joining Everton after they have been showing the most interest in him at this stage, GMS sources understand, but he has shown that he is keen to move onto pastures new in the capital and that has given Tottenham fresh optimism in their recruitment drive.

GMS sources recently revealed that Manchester City's initial preference was to offload the three-time Premier League champion before they returned for pre-season, highlighting that he is on the market, and the door has been left ajar for Spurs to make their move before their Super Cup clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
