Tottenham Hotspur are on course to have their resolve tested by Borussia Dortmund as the Bundesliga heavyweights have set their sights on heading to the negotiating table in an attempt to lure Mikey Moore away from Hotspur Way ahead of the upcoming season, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

Spurs have been threatened with legal action by Nottingham Forest following their pursuit of England international Morgan Gibbs-White, but head coach Thomas Frank has remained determined to make alterations to his squad after being appointed as boss Ange Postecoglou's successor.

Although Mohammed Kudus became a statement signing earlier this month, thanks to completing a £55million switch from cross-capital rivals West Ham United, there remains a serious possibility that there will be departures from Tottenham before the transfer window slams shut on September 1.

Spurs at Risk of Facing Battle to Retain Moore

North Londoners on course to have resolve tested over teenager

Tottenham are poised to receive an offer for Moore, according to GMS sources, as Borussia Dortmund are readying a proposal to sign him after deciding that they are keen to test the waters and discover whether the north Londoners will entertain the possibility of sanctioning their academy graduate's departure.

The wide forward has entered the final two years of a contract which allows him to pocket £5,000-per-week at Spurs, resulting in the German giants seeing the remainder of the summer transfer window as an ideal opportunity to make advances as they seek to secure fresh attacking talent.

GMS sources have been informed that Tottenham have been eager to tie Moore down to fresh terms and convince him to stay at the club instead of allowing him to join Borussia Dortmund, while there are plans to utilise him in pre-season clashes after he was handed chances by Frank's predecessor Postecoglou during the 2024/25 campaign.

But the 17-year-old, who has been described as 'outstanding' by scout Jacek Kulig, is in danger of falling down the pecking order thanks to Kudus' summer arrival and that has resulted in his admirers being eager to gauge whether Spurs would be prepared to entertain a deal before the deadline.

Tottenham are in line to be forced to make a decision over Moore's future, GMS sources have learned, as Borussia Dortmund have a serious interest after already raiding the Premier League by landing Jobe Bellingham from Sunderland and making Yan Couto's loan switch from Manchester City a permanent deal.

Moore to Get More Game Time in Bundesliga

German giants have held talks with wide forward's representatives

GMS sources have been told that Borussia Dortmund have been keeping tabs on Moore's situation and their ability to offer him more first-team minutes than he would get if he remains at Tottenham could prove to be key as he weighs up whether it is in his best interests to embark on a fresh challenge.

Influential figures at Signal Iduna Park have already held discussions with the teenager's representatives in an attempt to gauge whether he would be open to heading to Germany, but they have stopped short of entering club-to-club talks at this stage and are preparing their opening proposal.

Borussia Dortmund are expected to be left frustrated if they aim to strike a permanent agreement for Moore, GMS sources understand, meaning that their best chance of persuading Tottenham to do business would be if they make an offer to take him on loan for the upcoming campaign.

GMS sources revealed in May that the north Londoners were ready to hand the up-and-coming youngster an improved contract, but a managerial change and attempts to strengthen a squad preparing to compete in the Champions League have resulted in Spurs being unable to convince him to sign on the dotted line so far.
