Tottenham Hotspur have been keeping tabs on the development of Harry Gray and have refused to rule out the possibility of attempting to convince him to follow in brother Archie's footsteps by sealing a switch from Leeds United to Hotspur Way, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

Although Spurs have a Europa League semi-final to look forward to and will be forced to fork out £20.9million to keep Kevin Danso in the summer, thanks to having an obligation to turn the central defender's loan switch from Lens into a permanent agreement, boss Ange Postecoglou and influential figures are making plans to lure reinforcements to north London.

A final decision needs to be made on whether to keep Mathys Tel, due to having an option to buy him for £45million after an initial temporary switch from Bayern Munich, but Tottenham are also threatening to raid Leeds after seeing them seal promotion back to the top flight earlier this week.

Spurs to Continue Monitoring Gray's Progress

Teenager may be handed chance to reunite with brother in capital

Tottenham have been keeping a close eye on Gray after sending scouts to watch him in action, according to GMS sources, and they are entertaining the possibility of attempting to lure him away from boyhood club Leeds as they continue aiming to recruit exciting up-and-coming talent.

Spurs tempted the 16-year-old's brother Archie away from Elland Road less than 12 months ago, thanks to agreeing a fee in the region of £30million with the West Yorkshire outfit, and he has gone on to become a firm fan favourite due to his committed performances in a side struggling to hit top form.

GMS sources have been informed that Tottenham are not necessarily rushing to make Gray a target for the upcoming transfer window, but they are keeping their options open and could make a move for him further down the line after seeing his sibling seamlessly adjust to life as a regular starter in the Premier League.

The forward has earned praise when trying to make his mark in Leeds' youth system, with former Spurs winger Aaron Lennon describing him as 'frightening', and he was rewarded with his senior debut when the Whites sealed automatic promotion to the Premier League by recording a convincing victory over Stoke City earlier this week.

Tottenham are planning to continue keeping tabs on Gray's progress in his current surroundings, GMS sources have learned, and they are toying with the idea of eventually offering a route to north London if he shows promise when battling for further game time following his breakthrough.

Postecoglou Could Profit from Previous Deals

North Londoners have maintained strong relationship with Leeds

GMS sources have been told that Tottenham have maintained a strong relationship with Leeds since holding discussions last year, which could work in Postecoglou's favour if it becomes clear that there is a battle to secure Gray's services when the transfer window reopens for business in the summer.

Spurs allowed Manor Solomon to seal a loan switch to the Whites in August, following his decision to snub the opportunity to join La Liga outfit Getafe, while Joe Rodon also completed a permanent move to Elland Road as they went in search of recovering from losing the 2024 Championship play-off final to Southampton.

Tottenham's scouts have been impressed with what they have seen of Gray since being tasked with monitoring his performances, GMS sources understand, and there is hope behind the scenes that their previous negotiations with Leeds could allow them to fight off any potential competition if they choose to up the ante.

GMS sources recently revealed that Solomon wants to stay at Elland Road on a long-term basis instead of heading back to parent club Spurs at the end of the season, leading to there being a serious possibility that he has already made his final appearance under Postecoglou in north London.
