Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank has been handed a significant boost in the final hours of the summer transfer window as Ademola Lookman has been showing interest in completing a move to Hotspur Way from Serie A giants Atalanta, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

Spurs are close to agreeing personal terms with Randal Kolo Muani, although negotiations are continuing over an initial loan deal with current employers Paris Saint-Germain, and the north Londoners are in the market for further reinforcements before the fast-approaching 7pm deadline.

Lookman Showing Interest in Switch to Spurs

Lookman wants to join Tottenham alongside Kolo Muani, according to GMS sources, but he will only be handed the opportunity to embark on a fresh challenge in the Premier League if an agreement is reached between his admirers and Atalanta during eleventh-hour club-to-club discussions.

Spurs are not the only side eyeing the wide forward as reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have made an approach to sign him on an initial loan, which would include an option to buy at a substantial price, and he is weighing up his options after deciding that he wants to leave his current surroundings.

GMS sources have been informed that Lookman has been identified by Tottenham as the leading alternative option to Manchester City's Savinho as they go in search of a fresh attacking outlet and, despite facing competition, they were set to make an overnight call on whether it would be feasible to strike a deal.

The Nigeria international, who has been described as 'world-class', would head to Spurs with plenty of Premier League experience as he previously enjoyed spells with Everton, Fulham and Leicester City before taking his career to another level by clinching silverware on Atalanta's books.

Tottenham have a serious chance of winning the race for Lookman if they make a suitable proposal, GMS sources have learned, but they have been mulling over whether to up the ante in their pursuit by lodging a formal offer as they have also been contemplating swoops for other targets.
