Tottenham are still pushing for a deal to sign Manchester City winger Savinho as they look to address their attack this summer. It has already been an incredibly busy summer for Spurs, who have put together a record spend of more than £235million, but much of the spending has revolved around the defence and midfield.
Roberto De Zerbi now wants to address his front line, and it seems as though he could sign two wingers, with Tottenham clearly not concerned about their spending this summer, albeit there will be some sizable exits to follow the earlier summer exits of Luka Vuskovic and Cristian Romero.
Man City star Savinho has been chased by Spurs for much of the summer, and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update. He said on his YouTube channel: "Tottenham want two wingers. They called Gakpo and we spoke about him in the last video But for Savinho, negotiations are taking place, discussions are taking place, conversations are taking place. So the Savinho story is absolutely on, and we have to keep the name of Savinho in mind for Tottenham Hotspur."
"Just the moment to make the steps to be a decisive player and add goals and assists, especially goals he will be a top-class player. Top class." - Pep Guardiola on Savinho
Reports suggest Savinho could cost as much as £85million, while Gakpo is going to cost £60million or North of that figure. If Spurs sign both players, their summer spending could be within touching distance of £400million, although it would be balanced somewhat by the exits of Vuskovic, Romero and Guglielmo Vicario.
Speaking in late July, De Zerbi made it clear he wants his front line addressed next. He said: "Yes, yes, the target now is to complete the attacking positions. We want the first target, the first level, because we have already important players. But I think to start a new project we need another couple of important players for sure."

Dejan Kulusevski
Savinho will add much-needed competition for Spurs out wide
As can be seen above, Spurs do lack a little in the wide areas, even if they do have some talented options there. Dejan Kulusevski has had more than a full season off football, while Wilson Odobert has also been out for a lengthy spell and won't return until the winter.
Savinho would certainly add competition, and the Brazilian would almost certainly walk in as a starter.
Pep Guardiola has said of the winger previously: "Savinho made an incredible performance again like he did against Everton. He’s a guy who can play on both sides, today he finally scored a goal. He has an incredible ability and quality he’s proven in that period.”
