Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur will have to overcome plenty of competition to land an exciting Bundesliga winger in the summer.

Just a few months after making a big move to RB Leipzig, one winger is already being heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, owing to his outstanding form at the Red Bull Arena.

The player in question is Yan Diomande, who Tottenham have reportedly scouted extensively this season.

In fact, just a few days ago, it emerged that Tottenham and Liverpool had held advanced talks over a deal for Diomande.

Since his move from Leganes in the summer, the Ivory Coast international has been nearly unstoppable, with six goal contributions in 12 Bundesliga matches this season.

He is showing no signs of slowing down, and Romano has now revealed that several clubs are keeping an eye on the 19-year-old ahead of the January window.

When asked about the speculation linking Diomande with a move to Spurs and Liverpool, the journalist told GiveMeSport: “There are at least 4/5 clubs following the player. Nothing is concrete at the moment, but interest from several clubs is genuine.”

This update from Romano comes just a couple of days after TEAMtalk claimed that the Leipzig man is on the radar of as many as 12 clubs around Europe, including six Premier League sides.

The update asserted that the Bundesliga club have no intention of letting their starlet leave mid-season.
