Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Thomas Frank, explaining what the feeling is at the North London club about their chances of getting a deal over the line.
Several outlets have claimed over the last 24 hours that Frank has emerged as Tottenham’s top target to replace Ange Postecoglou.
According to some sources, Spurs are expected to announce a new managerial appointment by next week.
Meanwhile, it has emerged that amidst Tottenham’s interest in the 51-year-old, Brentford have already begun looking for Frank’s replacement as they fear that their long-serving head coach could be on his way to North London.
Romano has now provided a positive update on the club’s pursuit of the Dane, revealing that the Lilywhites are ‘advancing well’ on the appointment.
The journalist explained that further talks between Tottenham Hotspur and Frank will now follow as the North Londoners step up their interest.
He added that there is optimism at Spurs that they could tie down a deal for the Brentford boss in quick time.
