Premier League clubs are keen on a move to sign Folarin Balogun this summer, but Tottenham Hotspur are not in the race, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The AS Monaco star has emerged as one of the most sought-after forwards on the market this summer after an excellent World Cup with the USMNT, where he scored three goals in four appearances, and hit the headlines after his red card in the final group stage game was suspended following intervention from President Donald Trump.
Spurs are understood to be in the market to bolster their forward options this summer, with Man City winger Savinho their top target, but a striker is also wanted amid question marks over the future of Richarlison.
Romano: No Tottenham Interest in Balogun
Reports in France emerged on Tuesday that Tottenham were ready to step up their interest in the Monaco striker, with the Ligue 1 side open to a sale as they look to raise funds after missing out on Champions League football for the upcoming season.
But while speaking on his latest YouTube video, the ever-reliable Romano has revealed that his information is stating the opposite, and there is in fact no interest from the north London club at this stage in the 'insane' striker.
"About strikers, many questions about Folarin Balogun and Tottenham Hotspur," he said.
"A big story coming out of the French press, but at the moment, according to my information, guys, nothing advanced for Folarin Balogun to Tottenham Hotspur.
"At the moment, for Balogun, there are some options in the Premier League, but Tottenham are not among them. Galatasaray is interested in the player as well, but at the moment, it is financially not easy to reach an agreement. So let's see what's going to happen.
"But there is movement around following Balogun for sure, not with Tottenham at this stage."

Balogun is someone who knows English football well, having come through the academy at Arsenal, before lighting it up abroad. His experience at the highest level would be great for Spurs.
Someone who knows both him and Tottenham well is Mauricio Pochettino, former Spurs boss and current USMNT manager, and he has previously praised the 25-year-old for his ability.
“Always a striker needs to need to fill the net. And his work ethic is amazing in the way that he is always available in every single aspect of the game, with and without ball. Yes, I am so pleased about his performance.”
While Spurs would be well within their rights to make a move, it seems as though the club are prioritising other options at this stage, and it may be his agent or Monaco who are pushing the interest from north London in the final weeks of the transfer window.
