Tottenham Hotspur appreciate both Southampton winger Tyler Dibling and Brentford forward Yoanne Wissa, alongside Bryan Mbeumo, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter.
It's set to be a busy summer transfer window for Spurs after they managed to qualify for the Champions League following their Europa League triumph. The north London outfit are entering a new era under Thomas Frank, after Ange Postecoglou was relieved of his duties earlier this month.
Despite Postecoglou ending Tottenham's trophy drought, it was a disappointing season outside of that, losing 22 Premier League games and finishing just outside the relegation zone. As a result, plenty of reinforcements will be necessary if they want to head back in the right direction.
Fabrizio Romano: Tottenham Forward Pursuit
Dibling and Wissa admired
Writing in his exclusive newsletter, Romano has provided an update on Tottenham's pursuit of a new forward. Romano has confirmed that Southampton's Dibling and Brentford's Wissa are both appreciated by the north London club, but there have been no concrete talks yet...
"Both are appreciated but no concrete talks took place yet, an internal meeting with Thomas Frank will take place this week."
Reports have suggested that Southampton could demand in the region of £100m to allow Dibling to depart, but considering their relegation to the Championship, it will be interesting to see whether they can hold out for such a significant figure. Back in January, The Evening Standard claimed that Brentford were asking for around £40m for Wissa, but with Mbeumo heavily linked with a departure, they'll likely find it difficult to justify allowing both to leave the club.
Wissa and Dibling are different profiles, with the former more of a central player and the latter usually deployed on the right-hand side of attack, meaning there is a chance they could look to bring both in as they hope to transform Frank's attacking options.
