Tottenham Hotspur are set to complete another major transfer today with Luka Vuskovic expected to complete a move to Brighton and Hove Albion, according to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Tottenham have been the busiest Premier League club by a mile in the summer transfer window, adding half-a-dozen new faces to Roberto De Zerbi's squad as they look to forget successive 17th-placed finishes and move up the standings next term.
The Italian boss will want the north London outfit competing at the top of the table and it isn't as ridiculous as it sounds, given they have no extra European football to contend with during the 2026-27 campaign.
Last time out, Manchester United finished third in similar circumstances, and if De Zerbi can land the attackers he wants in the remainder of the window, he may well be targeting doing the same and securing Champions League football for Tottenham again.
While Spurs' defence and midfield has been transformed in a matter of weeks with new signings, attention has now turned to strengthening the attack with Fabrizio Romano confirming that their top winger target is Savinho, while they are also being heavily linked with Eli Junior Kroupi at Bournemouth.
With all the incomings, players will inevitably leave and Vuskovic looks set to be the next out the door.
Brighton to Seal 'Dream' Vuskovic Signing Today
According to Plettenberg, posting on X, Monday is Luka Vuskovic day and he will have a medical and sign his contract to become a new Brighton and Hove Albion player.
Tottenham were reluctant to lose the highly-rated centre-back, but his first-team opportunities would have been limited at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season following the additions of Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke, with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero also both still at the club as things stand.
The deal is set to be worth a total of just under £50m for Spurs, who have also secured a 20% sell-on clause for the Croatia international.
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler played a key role in the move, helping persuade the teenager to move to the Amex for regular minutes.
According to a separate report, Tottenham have also held talks over a deal to bring Harry Kane back to the club in a sensational move for next summer.
Spurs are said to be keeping 'close contact' over a potential transfer for their former captain, with the outlet's sources believing that the north Londoners could be in a position next summer to offer the Bayern Munich star a route back to London.
Kane only has 12 months remaining on his contract with the Bundesliga champions, but it is expected that he will sign new terms to remain at the Allianz Arena.
The 32-year-old has been in sensational form for Bayern after joining them from Tottenham in 2023, scoring a remarkable 146 goals in 147 appearances for the Bavarian giants.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are also said to have an interest in the England captain if he does become available.
