Tottenham Hotspur chiefs have a huge decision on who to bring in to their dugout ahead of next season - and one manager should be in their sights instead of Thomas Frank after sacking Ange Postecoglou earlier in the week.
The Greek-Australian boss was given the boot after a treacherous Premier League campaign saw Tottenham lose 22 of their 38 games in the top-flight - producing a club-record worst-ever 17th-placed finish since the competition began in 1992, and 38 points, marking their worst points tally in the top-flight since 1977.
Tottenham Should Opt for Iraola Over Frank
The Bournemouth boss would be more suited to the vacant role
Despite Postecoglou ending the club's 17-year wait for a trophy by winning the Europa League final over Manchester United last month, the Australian gaffer's poor domestic form means that Tottenham are now looking for a new gaffer - with Brentford boss Frank being linked.
But reports claim that the Dane is keen to make the switch across the capital, Spurs should look elsewhere to fill their void in the hot seat - with Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola undoubtedly being a strong addition should they make a move for the Spaniard.
Iraola surprisingly came into the Cherries' dugout at the start of the 2023-24 season, with the south coast club having sacked Gary O'Neil despite the Englishman leading them to safety the season before - and a slow start to life in Dorset looked as though they'd be in for more struggles in the top-flight, only winning one of their opening 11 games in the Premier League to sit 18th in the table.
But a superb run of form there saw the Cherries record 12 wins from their final 26 games to comfortably finish in mid-table, one point from the top-half - and that was replicated this time around with a ninth-placed finish.
Incidentally, that was one place ahead of Frank's Brentford - and with a more attacking style of football that resembles what Postecoglou set out to achieve, fast-flowing with attacking wing-backs such as Milos Kerkez, who has been linked with Liverpool.
Iraola is One of the Most Wanted Bosses in Europe
The Cherries boss will be snapped up at some point if their form continues
GMS sources confirmed in March that Iraola was 'one of the most appreciated candidates' in north London, having been highly-rated by Spurs for some time, with the football on offer, an attacking mentality and his trust in young players being highly applicable to Tottenham's squad.
GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Andoni Iraola has won 28 of his 76 games in the Premier League for Bournemouth.
Iraola, who sources revealed is 'one of the most wanted managers in Europe', also had a superb spell at La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano by winning promotion from the second division before recording two mid-table finishes - and that adaptability from lower-half to comfortable mid-table has shown he's a top coach who can work in all scenarios.
Frank, in his own right, has been mesmerising at Brentford and his hard work cannot be understated, having taken the Bees from a mid-table Championship team to a top-half Premier League side in two of his four full campaigns in the top-flight - but a huge release clause and an uncertainty over his playing style being suited to Tottenham should see the Lilywhites head for Iraola, especially with Bournemouth's mass exodus which could force his exit from the club.
