Those Tottenham players not at the World Cup returned for pre-season testing at Hotspur Way on Friday with some back for the first time in a while
There were some returning faces who have not been spotted at Tottenham for some time among the first group to arrive back at pre-season testing on Friday.
For those players who have not been involved at the World Cup this summer, it was time to return to Hotspur Way and begin their medical testing and gym work before Roberto De Zerbi kicks off his full training sessions with them on the grass at the Enfield complex on Monday.
That meant new £85million signing Mateus Fernandes was shown heading into his new workplace. His fellow £100million new arrival Sandro Tonali has not been featured among the images Spurs have put out as of yet, which suggests that the Italian's work permit might not have been confirmed yet for his move from Newcastle.
Those returning players who have so far featured in Tottenham's gallery of images include new signing Martin Dubravka as well as Archie Gray, James Maddison, Dominic Solanke, Conor Gallagher, Richarlison, Destiny Udogie, Antonin Kinsky, Guglielmo Vicario, Ben Davies, Brandon Austin, Dane Scarlett, Mikey Moore, Jamie Donley and also long-time injured duo Dejan Kulusevski and Mohammed Kudus.
Wilson Odobert, who will be out until the end of this year with his ACL injury, was also among the images from day one.
There were also four loaned out players who have not been spotted at the club for a while.

The first was Manor Solomon, who was on loan at first Villarreal and then Fiorentina last season. The Israel international has been told by De Zerbi that he can look for a new club this summer as he is not in his plans for the coming campaign.
Solomon at least has played six times for Spurs back in 2023. Kota Takai has become something of a forgotten signing at the north London club since the 21-year-old Japan international arrived last summer from Kawasaki Frontale. The centre-back struggled with injury after arriving and then was sent out on loan to German side Borussia Monchengladbach in the January window where he made just eight appearances.
Takai was shown among those making their way into Hotspur Way on Friday and he will be finding out what lies ahead next for him, with four years left on his contract with Tottenham.
That is also the case for Yang Min-hyeok, who joined Spurs the previous summer, and spent last season out on loan at first Portsmouth and then a less successful spell at Coventry, despite their promotion. The 20-year-old South Korean has at least been in English football so still in the eyeline of the supporters.
Ashley Phillips, who is also yet to play a competitive game for Spurs, was also back in the gym after two loan spells at Stoke City in the Championship.
