It has emerged that former Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou may not have to wait too long to be back in football.

Postecoglou’s return to the Premier League was much quicker than Spurs fans would have expected after his sacking in the summer.

However, it did not prove a happy return for the former Tottenham boss, who lasted just 39 days at Forest after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo.

Postecoglou was sacked by the Midlands club last Saturday, almost immediately following their defeat to Chelsea, with the 60-year-old leaving the City Ground without a single win in his eight games in charge.

According to Football Insider, Postecoglou could be an option for Celtic amid doubts over the long-term future of Brendan Rodgers. Rodgers’ current deal runs out next summer, and he has not shown an interest in extending his contract so far.

It is revealed that the former Leicester boss is growing frustrated with the lack of backing and ambition from the board, and is seriously considering walking away at the end of the campaign.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss is mentioned as a possible replacement for Rodgers at the Glasgow giants. It is asserted that Postecoglou would ‘seriously consider’ returning to Celtic Park if offered the opportunity.
