Thomas Frank will be under plenty of scrutiny in the early stages of the season as he takes the reins at Tottenham.
The Danish boss has succeeded Ange Postecoglou in the dugout in N17.
In the process, he becomes the latest man charged with overseeing the progress that Daniel Levy so desperately desires at Tottenham.
Spurs have already been linked with moves for the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, as Frank lines up a potential raid of his former employers.
The 51-year-old will have plenty of big decisions to make as he looks to alter the Tottenham squad. However, he is likely to make some mistakes along the way and might have already made his first.

Mathys Tel criticised after display for France’s Under-21s
The first signing of the Frank era was the move to turn Mathys Tel’s loan into a permanent switch.
Tel has spent the early part of the summer away with France at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
However, the forward will now be heading home after France were dismantled 3-0 by Germany’s Under-21s in the semi-finals on Wednesday (25 June).
The Spurs man has received criticism following his team’s elimination. French outlet Maxifoot (26 June) handed Tel a 3/10 match rating, writing, “He very rarely represented a danger for his opponents tonight.”
“He lacked reactivity on a ball pushed back into the German box to equalise just after the first goal.”
The former Bayern Munich man failed to link up well with his teammates, completing just 15 accurate passes in the 90 minutes. That was a consistent theme across the French forward line, as they misfired in the final third.
The 20-year-old also failed to register a single shot on target in the defeat. Meanwhile, his tally of eight duels lost – the second-highest of anyone on the pitch – was symptomatic of the tough night he faced against the German centre halves.
Tel could already be Frank’s first mistake
Frank didn’t hesitate to sign off on the deal to bring Tel in permanently. However, perhaps a bit more thought should have gone into the decision.
Munich were happy to let go of Tel, and recent showings for his country have perhaps raised question marks as to whether the Frenchman is ready for the Premier League.
Spurs parted with £30million to secure his signature a matter of weeks ago. However, they could already be wishing they had been more cautious in their approach.
