Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has to be under serious pressure after their latest defeat against Nottingham Forest, and with reports suggesting they are seriously considering Xavi Hernandez as their next coach, they should be looking to pull the trigger.

Spurs went 1-0 down in the first half as Forest pounced on a defensive error from Archie Gray, with Callum Hudson-Odoi then able to roll the ball into an empty net. After the break, Callum Hudson-Odoi struck again, leading to a triple change from Frank, but it didn't help their cause.

Sean Dyche's side later made it three, as Ibrahima Sangare produced a phenomenal strike to seal the win for Forest. The defeat leaves Tottenham sitting in 11th place in the Premier League table, and serious questions are now being asked of Frank.

Time for Frank to Go as Xavi Eyed

After just one win in their last seven Premier League games, it's surely time for Spurs to head in a different direction. Frank is already losing trust with some of the supporters after some disappointing performances and results, and their latest defeat against Nottingham Forest sums up their issues.

After Frank substituted Djed Spence in the second half against Forest, the full-back threw his jacket to the ground in anger at being taken off. It's surely a sign that things aren't so rosy behind the scenes, and a change is needed in the dugout.

Reports have claimed that Tottenham are 'seriously considering' Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez, and it could be time to bite the bullet and bring him to the club. Fabio Paratici is said to be ready to open talks, and that might happen sooner rather than later after their recent result.

Xavi a Thomas Frank Upgrade for Tottenham

Xavi has previously been described as "the best manager in the world" before he left Barcelona, and he could be the man that Tottenham need to steer them in the right direction. The former Spanish midfielder has experience of managing high-profile players and elite-level stars, and if Spurs want to go to the next level, that could be the profile of manager that they need in the dugout.

Xavi has achieved over two points per game in both of his managerial jobs so far, and he's also delivered plenty of trophies to go with it. With Barcelona, Xavi won the La Liga title, while he also delivered six trophies during his time at Al-Sadd SC.

Tottenham need a winner, and unfortunately for them, Frank isn't that. It's no disrespect to Frank, but Xavi is a level above, and considering he's available right now, they need to get him in as soon as possible to save their season.
