Tottenham Hotspur fans felt one of their academy players looked “better” than Son Heung-min in Saturday’s friendly draw with Wycombe Wanderers.
Spurs contested two friendlies on Saturday, drawing 2-2 with Wycombe and a separate contingent playing out a 0-0 stalemate at Luton Town.
Pape Matar Sarr opened the scoring at Hotspur Way in the 13th minute, but the visitors turned the game around through Junior Quitirna’s brace.
Tottenham managed to claw a goal back and avoid defeat as Sarr grabbed his second of the game, with academy star Tynan Thompson providing the assist.
Spurs fans loved what they saw from Thompson and took to social media to sing his praises.
