Tottenham Hotspur have won three straight games for the first time since February 2025 — more than 18 months — and vibes could not be higher in north London after Roberto De Zerbi’s side beat 10-man Crystal Palace 2-0 on Saturday.

SPURS 2-0 PALACE — Highlights & recap

Below is the latest De Zerbi reaction, speaking after Jean-Philippe Mateta’s 13th-minute red card and goals scored by a pair of defenders, Archie Gray and Jan Paul van Hecke. Spurs out-shot Palace by a margin of 34-2, out-passed them 758-149 and came up just shy of 80 percent possession in the game.

Roberto De Zerbi reaction: What did Spurs boss say after 2-0 victory vs Crystal Palace?

“Very pleased for the performance. Very tough game — I don’t know if [with 11 players] it will be a different game, but against Crystal Palace is very tough because they defend with a low block, no space. I think we showed we are a mature team. Maybe we could score more goals with more nastiness, but I’m very happy because we played 90 minutes the same way. We created many, many chances. We need more goals for sure, it’s not enough. But I think we are improving a lot.”

“Honestly it is always better playing with one player more, but sometimes like today against this team, they play with this behavior — all behind the ball, all aggressive. They were 10 players within 20 meters, very tough game. Very, very tough game.”

On Archie Gray’s versatility and the squad’s depth: “Archie Gray can play everywhere on the pitch, he is very smart. I am sorry [to him], with the yellow card [in the first half] I had to make the substitution [at halftime]. He can play midfielder, too. If we want to compete in the best way we can, we need more than 11 players. I’m sorry for Marcos Senesi, because he’s a top player for us but we are playing with two central defenders and now he’s not playing. But if we want to build a top team and compete for the highest level, we need more than 11 players.”
