Harry Kane has been linked with a move back to the Premier League in 2026, and a return to Tottenham Hotspur cannot be ruled out.
According to former Everton CEO Keith Wyness, he is likely to return to his former club. While there will be opportunities to join other clubs, it seems that a return to his boyhood club is more likely.
Tottenham backed to sign Kane
Wyness said on Football Insider: “I think he’s going to go back to Spurs, if he’s going to go anywhere.
“So I think it’d be hard for anybody else to get hold of him. He is a London boy, and I think it would be Spurs.
“While other clubs may look at that option and wish they could do it, I think he’s going to be Spurs through and through, and it’d be hard for him to play anywhere else in the Premier League.”
Kane could transform Spurs
Kane has been exceptional for Bayern Munich since joining the club, and he has been prolific for them. He helped him when the lead title last season, and he will be hoping to help them win the UEFA Champions League this season. There is a clause in his contract which allows him to leave for a fee of €60 million at the end of this season. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to bring him back.
They need a quality striker like him, and he could make a big difference for them in the final third. Even though he is in his 30s, he’s still good enough to compete at the highest level for a few seasons. He would be a major upgrade on their current options.
Tottenham will be hoping to win major trophies, and they need elite players like him to do well. The Bayern Munich striker has 17 goals to his name already this season. He has been unplayable since the start of the campaign, and it will be interesting to see if you can help the German champions win the Champions League.
