Tottenham ready to move for £26m-rated ‘Sergio Ramos regen’ this summer - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on the Sunderland defender Lutsharel Geertruida this summer.

The 25-year-old is on loan at Sunderland, and he has impressed with them. However, they are unlikely to sign him permanently in the summer. On the other hand, RB Leipzig is looking to sell him permanently, and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can complete the deal.

Lutsharel Geertruida will cost a reasonable fee

The Germans are prepared to sell the player for €30 million, according to SportsBoom. Tottenham certainly have the financial resources to get the deal done.

The versatile defender could be the ideal utility man for them. They need more quality and depth in the defensive unit, and the 25-year-old will help them improve. He can operate as a right-back, central defender, or defensive midfielder. He has the technical attributes to play for a bigger club, and he could be an asset for Tottenham.

They will face competition like Liverpool and Aston Villa. It remains to be seen whether they can act quickly and get the deal done. Sunderland have an option to sign the player for €23 million, but they are unlikely to exercise it.

Spurs move could be ideal for Geertruida

Geertruida will look to sort out his future quickly and focus on his football once again. Joining Tottenham could be an interesting option for him. They will look to bounce back strongly after a disappointing campaign, and the 25-year-old could help them push for trophies next season.

The Netherlands defender has been described as a ‘Sergio Ramos regen’ by the official Bundesliga website because of his ability to slot into multiple defensive roles and his composure on the ball. There is no doubt that he would be a handy option for Roberto De Zerbi next season.

Sports bias perception, or is Tottenham simply being cheated against? - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham are having a nightmare season in the 2025-26 Premier League, with far too many key players facing major injuries, not to mention managerial chaos with multiple coaches, poor form, and, to top it off, they’re in a relegation scrap, currently wallowing in 17th place, fighting to avoid the drop for the first time in decades.

Common complaints include fans and some commentators point to an absence of penalties awarded all season, while other teams get them. There has been a string of contentious VAR/referee decisions going against them, including disallowed goals, non-red cards on opponents, and soft fouls given the other way.

Inconsistent application of rules compared to “bigger” or rival clubs; such as Arsenal allegedly getting favourable calls while winning the title.

Managers and players (e.g., Igor Tudor, Roberto De Zerbi) have criticised officials, with some collecting charges for comments.

This has led to social media noise calling it “corruption,” “rigged,” or “borderline corruption” — especially against a backdrop of Spurs fighting relegation.

No credible investigations, charges, or evidence of match-fixing, bribes, or organised corruption targeting Tottenham. Searches turn up fan rants, Instagram/TikTok clips, and opinion pieces, but crucially, no proof or compelling evidence.

Refereeing controversies happen every season across the league (VAR drama and such dissent noise are constants). Teams on bad runs always feel targeted, but this is classic sports bias perception. Tottenham has played poorly for stretches, with bad luck and weak performances amplifying the sense of injustice.

There are legitimate grounds to criticise inconsistent or poor officiating affecting Spurs, but this is as with many clubs – and not just us.

“Corruption” claims are fan hyperbole driven by their terrible season, and not actually backed by facts.

Football officiating is flawed and subjective, but systemic fixing against one big-name club isn’t supported here. If new evidence emerges (e.g., leaks or PGMOL probes), that could change, but right now, it’s mostly “Spursy” bad fortune, with an unhealthy smattering of referee incompetence.

The media knives are out for Tottenham and ENIC this morning - The Boy Hotspur
Description

There’s no love for Tottenham anywhere right now, and everyone knows why. Even the BBC’s

“…if Spurs do drop into the Championship on Sunday it will not be because of one incident after a campaign of discord, instability and rank incompetence on and off the pitch.”

A loss against Everton and a win for West Ham will trigger one of the biggest humiliations in Premier League history.

ENIC, which owns Tottenham Hotspur and bears ultimate responsibility for the club’s current dire situation in the 2025-26 Premier League season, where Spurs are battling relegation, making remarkably awkward history.

Fans and analysts widely blame ENIC (and previously Levy) for long-term strategic failures that contributed to the collapse.

Managerial instability is another factor. Multiple coaching changes (at least six since Pochettino left in 2019), including Ange Postecoglou (who won the Europa League but left the league in a poor position), Frank (sacked), Igor Tudor (brief stint with no wins), and now Roberto De Zerbi. This has created inconsistency.

Sleepwalking towards relegation isn’t the half of it. Again and again this season, Spurs have let themselves down. Worse yet, Jamie Redknapp says that he expects Everton gaffer David Moyes to be out to prove a point against Tottenham.

“[Tottenham] are sleepwalking towards relegation. I said it earlier this season, the only thing that’s saved them is a couple of good results.

“When I say good, they beat Wolves, and they beat an Aston Villa side who had seven players out at the time.

“Now they’ve got to find a way to win a game at home. Their home form has been horrendous all season. They’ve had no quality and no character to win a football match.

Now they’ve got to find a way to beat Everton. David Moyes will be fuming after the weekend and he’ll be going there thinking, ‘We’ve got to get something out of this game.’

Whatever happens, ENIC must surely be held to account.

Tottenham want to sign €55m Arsenal target who is one of the “stars of the future” - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Antonio Nusa from RB Leipzig during the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old has impressed in Germany with his direct style of play, and he is also a target for Arsenal. According to a report from FussballDaten, the player will cost around €55 million.

Tottenham need more quality on the flanks, and the 21-year-old could transform their attacking unit with his pace, flair and directness.

Antonio Nusa is a top talent

The report claims that the 21-year-old is regarded as one of the “stars of the future”. Their asking price might seem expensive right now, but he should be able to justify the investment in future. He could prove to be a superb investment for Tottenham in the long-term term.

Tottenham is still fighting for survival in the Premier League, and they will need to win their final match of the season to secure safety. They must stay in the top flight if they want to attract top-quality players.

Arsenal could tempt Nusa

Meanwhile, the opportunity to join Arsenal will be exciting for Nusa as well. They have won the Premier League title this season and will be able to provide him with a platform to win major trophies.

Tottenham will need to convince the player of their ambitions. It remains to be seen whether they can get the deal across the line. Joining Arsenal might be a more attractive option for the player, and Tottenham will need to convince the 21-year-old that they can help him fulfil his ambitions in the coming seasons.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up. Arsenal need more quality in the wide areas as well. The 21-year-old could prove to be an excellent investment for both clubs. Nusa has five goals and four assists this season.

Tottenham want £50m star who says he ‘can beat’ Van de Ven in a race - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Maxence Lacroix has been linked with the move away from Crystal Palace at the end of the season.

Multiple Premier League clubs are keen on the 26-year-old French International defender, and Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to secure as well. They have been monitoring his performances, and they could use a quality defender like him.

Maxence Lacroix to replace Romero?

Cristian Romero has been linked with a move away from the club, and they will need to replace the South American in the summer. Signing the Crystal Palace star would be a wise decision. He is well settled in the Premier League and consistently performing at a high level.

He has also been selected for the upcoming World Cup with the French national team. Apart from being a quality defender, he has outstanding recovery pace, and he could be the ideal partner for Micky van de Ven.

The French international once claimed that he could beat the Tottenham defender in a race.

According to a report from Team Talk, he could cost around £50 million. Tottenham certainly have the financial muscle to get the deal done, and the proceeds from Romero’s departure will help as well.

It remains to be seen whether the 26-year-old central defender is open to joining Tottenham. Even though they are fighting relegation this season, they have an ambitious project and quality players. They could bounce back strongly next season. They have appointed a talented manager like Roberto De Zerbi.

Spurs could use Lacroix

Tottenham have been quite poor defensively, and they need to improve at the back. Signing the 26-year-old will certainly help them tighten up defensively.

The player is well settled in England, and he could make an immediate impact at Tottenham if he joins the club. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can fend off the competition from other Premier League clubs and get the deal done.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace is not interested in selling the player and is looking to offer him a new contract.

Reactions to Yves Bissouma’s latest Instagram post sum up much of the current fan mood - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham appears to be out of the woods in respect of being relegated; at least there is finally a viable pathway out of the chaos. Providing, of course, that we don’t do anything too Spursy in our last couple of games. Which, as we all know, cannot be taken for granted.

Yves Bissouma on Instagram: pic.twitter.com/RuWO4skn8a

— The Spurs Express (@TheSpursExpress) May 17, 2026

This season, we have experienced many messages from players seeking to clarify their position during a difficult season. Cuti Romero, for example, posted a notable (and edited) statement after a loss to Bournemouth in early 2026. It apologised to fans but appeared to criticise the club’s hierarchy (“other people… only show up when things are going well” and references to “lies”). The club confirmed he remains captain. He has a history of direct social media posts.

The post from Yves clearly echoes the relegation action, but one thing fans have had enough of this season is ‘updates’ and that feeling of being shortchanged by players. One fan replied:

This blokes the definition of all talk, not enough action. Was absolutely buzzing when we signed him seeing him play a vital role at a good Brighton side for years and he’s been a sick note or messing about doing dumb things way too often. Sell sell sell. Idc if he “loves the club

Another said:

None of the players should be doing any of that, do your job first

One was less than convinced, the message was even based in reality.

There’s no way Bissouma knew West Ham were even playing today or why them losing was significant

The mood was generally summed up by this chap, who also complained…

No talking , let’s get the job done and move on from this car crash season

In short, the disconnect between the players and the fans has now reached a point where the atmosphere has become very tense indeed. It feels just too Spursy.

Will we enjoy Tottenham’s ‘silver bullet’, or witness the most Spursy outcome imaginable? - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham (17th, 38 points from 36 games, with a goal difference of -9) leads West Ham (18th, 36 points from 37 games, with a goal difference of -22 by two points with a game in hand, after West Ham’s recent 3-1 loss to Newcastle. Will we enjoy Tottenham’s ‘silver bullet’, or witness the most Spursy outcome imaginable?

This is a straight two-team relegation straightener between Tottenham, who have a strong goal-difference advantage and West Ham with a horrific minus -22.

Tottenham’s remaining fixtures

Tuesday: Chelsea (A)

Final day (May 24): Everton (H)

West Ham’s remaining fixture

It’s on the final day, May 24th, Leeds United at home.

The bottom line for Spurs is avoiding a total collapse, which is naturally the most Spursy outcome imaginable. The silver bullet is a win at Stamford Bridge. Tottenham beat Chelsea, and they go to 41 points (5 clear with 1 game left). West Ham cannot catch them even if they beat Leeds. Relegation confirmed for the Hammers.

A win over Chelsea plus any result for West Ham against Leeds, or a draw vs Chelsea, plus any non-loss on the final day for the Hammers, spells almost certain safety for Tottenham due to points and goal difference.

Even two draws (vs Chelsea + Everton) would likely suffice as Tottenham would be 4 points clear; West Ham would need to win their last game and overcome a massive GD swing, which is improbable, as they would need something like an 11+ goal win.

In straightforward terms, one win and one loss, or one win and one draw, should be enough for Tottenham to stay in the top flight.

Tottenham are heavy favourites to stay up. A positive result (win or draw) at Chelsea would make safety nearly certain and could relegate West Ham immediately. Even without that, the goal difference cushion provides a strong safety net. West Ham needs near-perfection plus a historic goal swing to survive. The pressure is on Spurs to avoid a total collapse, but the numbers heavily favour them.

Report: Tottenham submit £39m offer to sign “extraordinary” Frenchman - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur is hoping to sign the Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga at the end of the season.

According to reports from Spain, they have offered €45 million in order to sign 23-year-old midfielder, and it remains to be seen whether the Spanish outfit is willing to accept the offer.

Eduardo Camavinga needs a fresh start

Camavinga has struggled for regular opportunities at Real Madrid and needs to move on to play regularly. Moving to the Premier League would be ideal for him. He has been hailed as an “extraordinary” talent in the past.

He is a tremendous talent with a bright future, and he could develop into a star with regular opportunities. Tottenham need players of his quality, and the French International would help them improve immensely.

The 23-year-old will add physicality and defensive steel in the middle of the park. He will protect the defensive unit and break down the opposition’s attacking moves. His presence will also allow the creative players to operate with more freedom.

Spurs need someone like Camavinga

Tottenham need players like him if they want to dominate the contest in the middle of the park. It would be a major for them if they managed to get the deal done.

Signing a talent like Camavinga for €45 million would represent a huge bargain. It would not be surprising if Real Madrid turned down the offer and demanded a higher fee.

The midfielder will look to sort out his future quickly and focus on his football once again.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have been fighting for survival in the Premier League this season. They will need to do a lot better next year. It remains to be seen whether they can convince the midfielder of their ambitions. He will want to play for a club where he can fight for trophies.

Maghnes Akliouche to Tottenham?

Tottenham linked with Monaco’s #10 : A £44M rated ball-carrying creative - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Maghnes Akliouche is expected to leave Monaco this summer (he has just over two years left on his contract). Monaco is open to selling at the right price. Tottenham has tracked the 24-year-old Frenchman for some time; the links go back to at least summer 2025. They explored moves in previous windows, including January 2026, but didn’t finalise a deal, partly due to Monaco’s valuation and their Champions League ambitions.

Tottenham are intensifying their pursuit ahead of the summer window. Sources indicate Spurs have asked to be kept informed of his availability, and a move feels more realistic now

GiveMeSport described him as being a creative, dynamic right-sided attacker or number 10—described as well-rounded with strong ball-carrying, creativity, and end product. Recent interest aligns with Tottenham’s need for technical quality in attack within their setup.

Akliouche’s strong performances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League have boosted his reputation. He’s in France’s squad for the upcoming World Cup, which could further raise his profile (and price).

A good fit for De Zerbie?

He’s a left-footed interior attacker who starts wide, often nominally a right-winger, but drifts into half-spaces and central pockets. Excellent movement, combination play, quick progression, vision, and key passing. Strong off-ball work, including pressing and defensive contributions. Good ball-carrying in tight spaces and third-man combinations.

Maghnes is a creative playmaker who unlocks defences with late runs, incisive passes, and positional intelligence. Unselfish, often preferring assists, technically bright, and versatile, RW, AM, hybrid roles who have a high work rate without the ball.

Weaknesses would include not being a great crosser, being limited aerially, and lacking physicality in duels at times. Needs consistency in final-third decisions and technical security under pressure.

However, he thrives in systems emphasising half-space overloads, quick tempo, and synchronised movement rather than pure width or crossing. De Zerbi favours a 4-2-3-1 base that becomes more fluid in possession, sometimes shifting to 3-2-5 or asymmetric shapes, which would fit the bill.

Akliouche’s profile, that of a creative, mobile, press-resistant half-space operator, matches well with De Zerbi’s possession-dominant yet vertical style. He could add technical quality, creativity, and goals/assists to a Spurs attack needing more dynamism. Many scouts and analysts view him as a sensible, high-upside addition for this Spurs setup.

De Zerbi wants to sign “the new Pirlo” who has changed agents to aid summer move - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Nicolo Fagioli has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks.

The 25-year-old central midfielder has done quite well for Fiorentina, and he is a target for the newly appointed Tottenham manager, Roberto De Zerbi.

Spurs could use Fagioli

It is no secret that Tottenham need more technical ability in the middle of the park, and the Italian International would be ideal for them. He could help control games for them and add composure to the team.

Tottenham must be able to control games better if they want to fight for Champions League qualification next season. They are lacking someone who can control the tempo of the game from the deep.

Fagioli seems tailor-made for the London club. He has been hailed as the new Pirlo by Andrea Pirlo himself.

Nicolo Fagioli eyeing summer transfer

The player has now fuelled further speculations surrounding his future by changing agents, according to Firenze Viola. It suggests that he could be looking for a move away from the club in the summer. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can capitalise on the situation and get the deal done.

Former Tottenham director Fabio Paratici is now at Fiorentina, and it will be interesting to see whether he can help facilitate a move.

The 25-year-old is unlikely to be a cheap acquisition. He is a player for the Italian club, and they will need substantial funds to replace him properly. Spurs will have to pay a premium to get the deal done.

The opportunity to play in the Premier League could be exciting for the Italian midfielder. This is the right time for him to take on a new challenge. He will look to prove himself in England and establish himself as a key player for club and country.
