Tottenham have struggled to replace Harry Kane’s goals since his departure in 2023.
Spurs relied on Richarlison after Kane left, with the Brazilian playing 31 games the following season but netting just 12 goals in all competitions.
The following season, Tottenham looked to strengthen their number role by signing Bournemouth’s top scorer Dominic Solanke.
The England international found the back of the net 16 times, including five on their way to European glory.
Spurs would love Kane back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and there has been plenty of rumours in recent weeks.

Tottenham and Harry Kane reunion not close
Harry Kane netted 279 goals in all competitions for Tottenham in 428 appearances.
England’s all-time top scorer has continued his fine goal-scoring form, netting 100 goals already for his new club Bayern Munich in just over two seasons.
Thomas Frank recently said in an interview that he would happily take Harry Kane back at Tottenham.
Unfortunately for Spurs fans, this might not be the case as Fabrizio Romano reported via GiveMeSport on 29 September that there is no deal in place for Kane to return soon, and the move is very unlikely.
Sources suggest that Kane is completely happy at Bayern and is not currently considering his future outside of Bavaria.
There is some hope for the future as Spurs have a priority option clause inserted into their agreement, meaning if and when Kane decides to leave, Spurs will be alerted first.
Romano also stated that Saudi Pro League teams are monitoring the situation of Kane’s contract; however, with the Englishman’s objectives of winning with England, this won’t happen any time soon.
Tottenham’s record since Harry Kane’s departure
Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League last season but did of course win silverware courtesy of the Europa League, something that Kane did not achieve at the club.
Kane has scored 100 goals since leaving the club; however, Spurs’ two strikers struggled, scoring a combined 21 goals between them last season.
Spurs have started strongly this season, with Richarlison netting three goals already, nearly levelling his tally of five last season.
Kane has started even better, sitting top of the Bundesliga with 18 goals and four assists in just 13 games.
