A big claim has now been made over the future of Heung-min Son, who is allegedly considering leaving Spurs, not for a move to Saudi Arabia, but to join a former Tottenham head coach.
According to various reliable sources, Son is closer to a Tottenham exit this summer than he has ever been.
The Tottenham captain has just one year left on his contract, and when asked directly about his future last week, Son refused to rule out a potential exit from Spurs.
Over the last few weeks, Saudi Arabia has been mooted as Son’s most likely destination, with several Saudi Pro League clubs alleged to be eyeing the 32-year-old.
Son is willing to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce
However, Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has now claimed that the Tottenham Hotspur superstar might be set for a shock move to the Super Lig this summer.
He explains that Jose Mourinho has already met with the South Korean to speak to him about a move to Fenerbahce, with the pair thought to have a very good relationship.
Son has allegedly made it clear that he is open to moving to the Istanbul club this summer.

Sabuncuoglu says that Tottenham are demanding €30m (£25.5m) for their talisman, and explains that should Fenerbahce be willing to pay the fee, talks with the forward can progress.
Heung-min Son is leaning towards Tottenham stay if the club want to keep him
However, despite all the speculation about Son’s potential Tottenham exit, Football Asian reported a few days ago that the forward is likely to stay put this summer.
The report claimed that Son is more likely to consider a move to Saudi Arabia next summer after the 2026 World Cup.
The outlet also asserted that should Tottenham decide to sell the 32-year-old, they will demand £50m for his services as they feel that figure reflects his value to the club both on and off the pitch.
