Martin Ho reported that the players who featured in the clash with Manchester City last Friday are all available for the Subway Women’s League fixture at home to Aston Villa.
Following a positive start to the Women’s Super League campaign, picking up six points out of nine, we now turn our attentions to our opening game of the Women’s League Cup group phase with the Villans the visitors to Brisbane Road – tickets still available.
Matilda Vinberg and Martha Thomas made their first appearances of the season when they were introduced in the second half against City and, along with everyone else who featured, Martin confirmed he will have the same squad at his disposal.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon, he told the media: "The same as we were. It's the same from where we were in the last game."
Asked whether he will rotate the squad, he added: “It’s an opportunity to win and it’s an opportunity to put ourselves in a place where we can compete for titles, and that’s why I am here – not just to take part.
“So, I won’t flip the team and just rotate, not show any respect to the competition, that’s not me. We’re going out there with a team to make sure we can win.”
