Everton’s search for a new striker in the January transfer window could lead them to the familiar face of Richarlison.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker has endured his own struggles since making the move from Merseyside to North London in 2022.

Richarlison became a fan favourite among many during his time at Everton but departed for Spurs in a deal worth around £60m.

Everton News understands that Richarlison would be keen on a potential return to Everton next year as he fails to nail down the starting striker role under Thomas Frank.

Important months lie ahead of the 28-year-old, who is fighting to retain his spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad ahead of next summer’s World Cup.

As Everton target a January signing of a striker, just how the Blues could potentially reunite with Richarlison has now been shared.

Everton’s best chance of signing Richarlison from Tottenham shared

Ancelotti dropped Richarlison from Brazil’s starting XI for the recent game against Senegal at the Emirates Stadium.

With Richarlison needing solid minutes for the remainder of the term, and Everton needing a new striker, an interesting January awaits.

Speaking on BBC Sport, Everton reporter Giulia Bould has shared her thoughts on how Everton may be able to re-sign the Tottenham forward.

“The Blues boss has already stated he will look at strengthening his squad in January but he also warned it is a notoriously difficult window to operate in, with prices often hiked up,” he said.

Do you want to see Richarlison return to Everton?

“A loan could be a good fit for Everton if Spurs were open to it. The Brazil international has made just four league starts this term but there is no suggestion right now that they would be willing to let the 28-year-old go.”

There have been a lot of Tottenham fans urging Richarlison to leave for Everton in the January transfer window.

It has been a real struggle for the former Blues striker in north London, with injuries playing a big part in his struggles with the Lilywhites.

Everton could sign a hungry Richarlison in January

There would certainly be some risk in the potential re-signing of Richarlison, given Everton need a striker who is going to guarantee them goals.

It has been suggested that Richarlison is open to leaving Tottenham over the coming months as he eyes regular football.

This is a player who would land back on Merseyside with a real point to prove ahead of the World Cup next summer.

Is Troy Parrott the perfect January signing for Everton?

However, Everton News revealed last week that Everton have also been monitoring Troy Parrott, who is showing some incredible form.

At the age of 23, Parrott is scoring more frequently than Richarlison – albeit in the Eredivisie – and still has years on the Brazilian.

Everton have a big decision to make when it comes to signing a new striker in January.
