Tottenham visit Ligue 1 champions Paris-Saint Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Back-to-back games without a win have dropped Tottenham down to ninth in the Premier League table, casting doubt over Thomas Frank’s future at the club.

They are 12th in the Champions League standings, but a win against PSG could move them into the top eight if other results go their way.

However, the odds are heavily stacked against Frank’s troops, and their current form hardly inspires any hopes of clinching a win in France.

Tottenham made light work of FC Copenhagen in their last Champions League outing, claiming a 4-0 win to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign.

The win against Copenhagen was only Tottenham’s second in their last eight games across all competitions.

How Tottenham could line up

Tottenham will need a performance for the ages to come away from the French capital with their unbeaten record intact, but Frank has a healthy squad to pick from.

After his improvised three-man defensive set-up failed miserably against Arsenal, Frank should return his backline to a more familiar system.

Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Destiny Udogie will line up ahead of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Joao Palhinha and Pape Matar Sarr should anchor the midfield, but will need all the physicality in their arsenal to deal with PSG’s technical players in the middle of the park.

Xavi Simons should return to the line-up after starting on the bench against Arsenal.

The Dutch forward, who set Spurs back £52m, should slot into the number 10 role, with Richarlison and Mohammed Kudus on either flank.

Randal Kolo Muani should lead the line and will be keen to make his mark against his parent club.
