Tottenham Hotspur will go for their first win of the 2026-27 Premier League season at the seventh time of asking on Monday (3 pm ET) when they host newly promoted Coventry City in north London.
Roberto De Zerbi's side (19th place, 3 points) has shown plenty of promising signs of late, but their play in the final third has let them down repeatedly and they have scored just scored just three goals in six games to start the campaign (two fewer than any other side). The results are slowly turning Spurs' way, though, as they have lost just one of their last four PL games and begun to dominate longer and longer periods of those games. They played Manchester United off the park and hardly gave them a sniff of the ball for much of the first half last weekend, but the end product didn't come together until second-half stoppage time long after Rodrigo Bentancur had been sent off and United had taken the lead.
Coventry (14th, 6 points) head into matchweek 7 after back-to-back wins against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle. Frank Lampard's side had a terribly difficult start to the season with Arsenal, Manchester City and top scorers Brighton three of the first four names on the fixture list. They lost all three of those games, and the winnable one against fellow new boys Hull, by a combined score of 10-0. Confidence is higher than you might think, though, after scoring four goals (from different players) against Newcastle last time out.
