Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has made it clear that Richarlison will have to decide on his future before the club takes action into their own hands.

Tottenham are seriously considering parting ways with the Brazilian striker this summer and have already set his asking price at €30 million (£26m).

Spurs are preparing for a fresh start under De Zerbi and have been one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the transfer market so far.

While they're far from done with their summer business, Tottenham must now cash in on a few players to balance the books and free up space for further recruitment.

So far, Richarlison is one player whose Tottenham future is far from guaranteed.

De Zerbi has already made it clear that he doesn't know if Richarlison will leave Tottenham this summer as the striker 'sometimes' wants to jump ship.

"I don't know because I like him as a player and as a guy," De Zerbi said when asked about Richarlison's future (via BBC). "He's unbelievable in terms of attitude and behaviour.

"But, in the end, we have to respect what he wants to do." When pressed on whether Richarlison wants to leave, De Zerbi said: "I don't know.

"I didn't understand well because sometimes he says he wants to stay, sometimes he wants to leave. We have to speak anyway. There is not any problem. He's a lovely guy."

Tottenham have been in impressive form throughout their pre-season and are yet to suffer defeat.

Interestingly, they recently beat arch-rivals Chelsea in a friendly, with Richarlison scoring a late winner to secure a 2-1 victory for 10-man Spurs.

While De Zerbi has hinted that he'd want Richarlison to remain at Tottenham, the Brazilian is entering the final year of his contract, so a decision has to be made on whether to cash in this summer.

The 29-year-old has already been strongly linked with a move away. But if that doesn't happen, Tottenham will hope he signs a contract extension to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Richarlison has recorded 32 goals and 15 assists in 133 games for Tottenham. He scored 11 times and provided four assists in 32 league games last season to help Tottenham survive relegation.
