Tottenham players will have to make the most of the minutes Thomas Frank grants them over the coming months.
The Dane has been praised for his tactical mind ever since Spurs’ defeat to PSG in the UEFA Super Cup final, where he kept the Parisians at bay for 85 minutes.
There was criticism when Tottenham sacked Ange Postecoglou and appointed Frank in his place, but seven games in and third in the table later and fans are content with the decision.
But like all managers who came before him, Frank has already had to make several important squad decisions, and that does not seem to be changing anytime soon.
Tottenham left wing up for grabs
Son Heung-min left Tottenham for LAFC over the summer after almost a decade in North London.

While Spurs fans are still mourning his departure, the left wing was left vacant after his exit, with a player yet to lock down the position.
Frank has tried almost everything. Brennan Johnson was deployed there at the beginning of the season, while the decision to make Xavi Simons Spurs’ left winger was an unpopular one.
Wilson Odobert is the most recent player to take up the position, but in the absence of a starting left winger, Tottenham expert and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes someone will need to step up or Spurs will look elsewhere.
“It’s got to be consistent performances,” Wenham said.
“There’s a real opportunity to have someone, and if someone doesn’t take that chance, I would suggest there’s every opportunity Tottenham will upgrade the position, if not in January, certainly in the summer.
“But they’ve got a whole season to audition for the role. Someone has got to realise that Son’s left and there’s a great opportunity to establish yourself as a first-team player at Tottenham on the left wing.”
As a result, Tottenham fans could see their players step up to the plate over the coming weeks.
Thomas Frank should give Wilson Odobert consistent minutes
There was a point in time when Spurs fans saw Odobert as Son’s successor. However, Frank seems to have had other plans these past couple of months.
Despite this, the Frenchman started in Tottenham’s win over Leeds United with the left wing looking its sharpest since the season began.
It makes sense, Odobert is the only natural left winger in Spurs’ senior team. As a result, it seems wise for Frank to stop the experiments and give a player confident in the position the chance to make it his own.
