Everton may have seen their unbeaten home record come to an end on Sunday, but Iliman Ndiaye silenced one Tottenham Hotspur player.

Despite the attacking additions over the summer, Everton are still struggling to find the back of the net through their strikers.

Ndiaye has proven a real issue for Premier League sides all season and Sunday was no different.

Premier League fans waxed lyrical about Ndiaye on the back of his showing against the north London side.

The scoreline may suggest a one-sided affair at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but the scoreboard did not reflect the game.

David Moyes now has until Monday to make some changes before the next game against Sunderland in the Premier League.

One thing which is clear is that Everton’s success will come through Ndiaye, who was handed the ultimate compliment by one Spurs player.

Pat Nevin was impressed with Ndiaye against Manchester City, with the Senegal international one of the real bright sparks in the defeat at the Etihad.

Sunday was no different. Ndiaye shone for the Toffees and caused Djed Spence some real issues at left-back.

The England defender has been in fine form this season and has publicly made it clear on social media that he has dominated his opposition.

In recent weeks, Spence has based his post-game social media posts around the opposing winger he has ‘locked down’.

After Spurs beat Man City earlier in the campaign, Spence captioned his post with: ‘Bring me your favourite winger’.

Following Sunday’s game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Spence has not taken to social media to share anything other than a simple story with an image from the game.

Moyes has been blown away by Ndiaye, but the winger saw a number of opportunities he created at the weekend failed to be converted.

Ndiaye dominates an in-form Djed Spence

After landing Grealish over the summer, Ndiaye has had to adjust to a new position playing on the other side of the pitch.

This has not caused him any issues, though, with Ndiaye playing perhaps his best football in an Everton shirt.

Clearly, the Senegal International put on a display for the home crowd, with an in-form Spence silenced both on and off the pitch.

Spence’s stats from the game were telling of a difficult afternoon against Ndiaye.

With praise coming from far and wide, people across the Premier League are finally beginning to appreciate just how good the winger is.
