Post Malone fans are in limbo as looming Tube strikes threaten to derail the US star’s two sold-out London concerts next week. The rapper-singer is due to perform at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 7 and 8 September , but the same dates fall right in the middle of a London Underground shutdown running from 7 to 11 September .
For thousands of ticket-holders, it’s causing a mix of frustration and panic. One fan posted on X: “Anyone attending Post Malone in London on the 7th and 8th September the tubes are ALL on strike! Putting this out there so people can make plans cause damn it’s a sh*t time for it to happen… hope everyone can still make it.” Another said: "I'm praying it still goes ahead. But we need clarity"
Another was even blunter: “They are going to affect it, no one can get there. He needs to reschedule!!!” And for many, it means they now can't get to the gig. One person wrote: "I can’t go anymore because of the strike! I’m heartbroken!"
The concern isn’t unfounded. Just last week, Coldplay were forced to move their Wembley gigs , with organisers saying it was “impossible” to transport 82,000 fans without Tube services. So far, Ticketmaster has reassured fans and said that any changes that are made to the event - all ticket holders will be contacted via email'. MyLondon has contacted the organiser of the Post Malone gigs about whether they are going ahead, but is yet to receive a reply.
But rescheduling would be tricky. With Tottenham Hotspur now in the middle of their football season , the stadium has a packed calendar of fixtures, leaving little wiggle room for extra concerts. That means Post Malone fans could be facing a wait-and-see situation right up until the last minute.
As of now, both shows are still scheduled to go ahead . The final call will depend on safety and transport capacity—exactly the issue that forced Coldplay to change dates. Until then, fans are being told to plan ahead, leave extra time for travel, and keep an eye on their inbox for updates.
How to get to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Unlike Wembley, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium isn’t totally cut off when the Tube shuts down. So if the gig goes ahead, you have options.
White Hart Lane (London Overground) – right by the stadium and running as normal, with connections to Liverpool Street.
Northumberland Park (Greater Anglia) – about a 10-minute walk, also open during strikes, linking to Liverpool Street.
Seven Sisters (Victoria Line / Overground) – usually a handy option, but the Tube won’t be running from here. Overground services should still operate, though expect big crowds.
The Elizabeth line, London Overground and trams are all expected to run, but they’ll be jam-packed with diverted Tube passengers.
