James Maddison and Son Heung-min formed a strong relationship while both were at Tottenham.
Maddison is currently sidelined for Tottenham after sustaining an ACL injury during Spurs’ win over Newcastle United in pre-season.
Ironically, that game was the former Tottenham skipper’s last, with Son leaving Spurs to join LAFC after almost a decade in North London.
However, both continue to make headlines for the North London club despite their prolonged absences.

Maddison has been unafraid to voice his thoughts on social media while at Tottenham, having recently called out VAR’s decision to disallow Cristian Romero’s goal for Spurs against West Ham.

While the midfield maestro will spend months away from the action, he has always been a big character in the dressing room.
As such, the Englishman has been able to form strong relationships with his teammates as well as Son while he was at Hotspur Way.
The South Korean has been living it large while at LAFC, taking to Instagram to document his latest adventures.
Always the jokester, under the post, Maddison warned him not to have too many In-N-Out burgers.

The former Spurs captain’s performances for his new team have left some wondering whether Tottenham will regret their decision to let Son leave.
His strong start in the MLS, as well as Spurs’ recent struggles in front of goal, have highlighted how much his elite levels of output were taken for granted while in North London.
Now, Joao Palhinha, a defensive midfielder, has as many goals as Richarlison, and only two of the Lilywhites attackers have netted in the Premier League this season.
However, that is a problem for Thomas Frank to solve and one that will surely come with time.
But just over a month from his departure, his efforts and importance while at Tottenham continue to be vindicated like no other.
