Jamie O’Hara has predicted how Tottenham Hotspur will get on in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup away to Newcastle.

Many Spurs players have said winning the Europa League has made the squad hungrier for trophies this season.

The Carabao Cup is undoubtedly the easiest of the four major trophies to win, and Spurs are already into the fourth round after beginning the tournament with a comfortable 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers last week.

Tottenham Hotspur are now just two wins away from the semifinal of the competition, but O’Hara is not confident that they can progress much further.

Jamie O’Hara expects Tottenham to crash out in the next round

Thomas Frank’s men have been given a tough assignment next in the competition, with Tottenham set to travel to St James’ Park for the Carabao Cup fourth round.

O’Hara has now admitted that he expects Newcastle to eliminate his former club from the competition.

When asked about Tottenham’s chances of winning the Carabao Cup, the pundit told talkSPORT: “We’re playing Newcastle, come on. Newcastle is a tough game, I don’t think we’ll go there and win, I don’t think we will. Newcastle want to win it, you’re playing the holders.”

Thomas Frank is taking things one game at a time

Unlike his predecessor, Ange Postecoglou, who boldly promised a trophy in his second season, Frank has been more circumspect about his comments on silverware.

The Dane is looking to win his first-ever trophy in management, and Frank has made it clear that Spurs will take it one game at a time.

The Carabao Cup will be on the back burner for the Tottenham boss for the time being, with the tie against Newcastle still a month away.
