Richarlison was a real fan favourite during his four years at Everton.

Everton signed Richarlison from Watford for around £50m in 2018, which turned out to be a really good piece of business.

The Brazilian scored 53 goals in 152 appearances for the Toffees, and many of those were really important goals.

Richarlison played a major role in retaining the club’s Premier League status in the 2021/22 season, netting 10 goals whilst laying on five assists in a struggling side.

The 28-year-old secured a £60m move to Tottenham Hotspur off the back of that, and now Jamie O’Hara has had his say on his career in North London.

Jamie O’Hara gives verdict on Richarlison’s time at Tottenham Hotspur

Richarlison has scored 23 goals in 101 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur since joining during the summer of 2022.

Speaking on talkSPORT, former Spurs playmaker Jamie O’Hara has admitted the former Toffees talisman just hasn’t been good enough.

“I think everyone believed that he was a good signing. He did a brilliant job at Everton. Kept them in the Premier League. He was a one-man band, but he’s not produced.

“Injuries haven’t helped. But when he’s been fit, look, he started the season okay this season, he’s done alright, and I think he’s probably starting.

“I would have to say for what we spent for 60 million pound, it’s a massive miss. It’s a shame because he’s got some talent.”

David Moyes was reportedly interested in signing Richarlison

It was reported in the summer that David Moyes was exploring a deal to sign Richarlison and bring him back to Merseyside.

But, for whatever reason, that transfer failed to materialise, although he’s again being linked with a return to Everton ahead of the January transfer window.

Moyes wants to sign another striker, and Richarlison’s name is already being mooted as it usually is around transfer windows.

His wage demands, paired with the fee Spurs would want, may be a big stumbling block in any forthcoming negotiations.
