Tottenham Hotspur had an impressive transfer window this summer, and they have brought in multiple quality players.
They needed to improve their attacking unit heading into the summer window, and they have done that with the additions of Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus and Randal Kolo Muani.
They looked quite vulnerable defensively last season, despite having quality central defenders at their disposal. They needed to bring in an upgrade on Yves Bissouma, and they have done that with the signing of Joao Palhinha as well.
Tottenham have won the transfer window
Tottenham have addressed most of their concerns this summer, and talkSPORT presenter Jeff Stelling reckons they are the winners of the summer transfer window.
Stelling chose Spurs as his winners of the transfer window: “It’s a North London side… Tottenham. The signings that they’ve brought in… Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, they paid a lot of money for him but I do think he is a good player. Xavi Simons, I like very much indeed. I think he’s going to be a terrific signing for them.
He went to pick Liverpool as the runners-up.
It will be interesting to see if the new signing can adapt quickly and perform at a high level. Players like Kudus and Palhinha have done quite well so far, and they will only improve further.
Can Spurs win a trophy?
Tottenham managed to win a European trophy last season, and they will look to build on it. They will look to fight for trophies this season as well and secure Champions League qualification. They have a quality manager like Thomas Frank, and they will hope that he can bring out the best in the players this season.
There is no doubt that they have improved the squad significantly, and the fans will be excited about the season ahead.
