Bayern Munich loanee Joao Palhinha has reiterated that he'd like to stay at Tottenham beyond the summer.
João Palhinha has expressed hope that his loan move from FC Bayern Munich to Tottenham Hotspur will be made permanent.
The Portugal international has been a regular for Spurs this season and played a key role in securing another campaign in the Premier League when he scored the winner in his side’s 1-0 victory over Everton at the weekend.
Speaking after the match (via ESPN), Palhinha said he would like to remain at the club beyond the summer.
"A really important day for the club, for everyone, for all the supporters. We are really happy with the way we finished this day, because it was the main objective to keep Tottenham in the Premier League," Palhinha said.
"I always shared my thoughts. Since the first day I arrived, I feel at home. From the supporters, the crowd. Top club.
"Who doesn't want to play for Tottenham and stay here? I have everything here, but this is like a marriage.
"What I can say to you is I would really like to be here and I enjoy it a lot this season with this club even being a tough season."
The 30-year-old joined Bayern from Fulham FC for a reported €51 million fee in 2024 and struggled to establish himself as a regular starter before returning to England on loan.
