Journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed what he knows about Everton’s rumoured interest in Richarlison and what the Tottenham forward expects to happen this summer.
The Brazilian has endured a frustrating three-year spell at Tottenham, with injuries preventing him from showcasing his best for the side consistently.
However, the 28-year-old had a strong end to the campaign, playing a crucial part in the club’s Europa League success, even starting the final over captain Heung-min Son.
Despite the way he ended the campaign, reports indicate that Tottenham are expected to cash in on Richarlison in order to fund moves for their top transfer targets.
Are Everton expected to make a move for Richarlison?
Rumours first emerged in March that Richarlison is on Everton’s summer wishlist, with the Merseyside club said to be prioritising re-signing the striker ahead of their move to the new stadium in Bramley-Moore Dock next season.
Some sources have since claimed that Everton are looking to sign Richarlison on loan with an option to buy, but Ben Jacobs has now refuted those suggestions, insisting that the Toffees are not expected to make an offer for the Brazilian.
The journalist remarked that should the striker leave Tottenham, he knows that it is likely to be to a club outside the Premier League.

When asked about Richarlison’s future, Jacobs said on Last Word on Spurs: “I’m not aware, despite rumours of anything between Everton and Richarlison, I don’t have any information that suggests that Everton are going to return to try and sign Richarlison.
“And I think if he was to depart, even though there may be a willingness to go back to Everton, but generally I think the player realises if he’s going to leave Spurs, he’s probably going to be leaving the Premier League as well.”
Tottenham will listen to offers for Richarlison this summer
Irrespective of whether Everton make a move to re-sign the forward, it appears that his time at Hotspur Way is about to come to an end.
Just a couple of days ago, the reliable Alasdair Gold said that Tottenham will listen to offers for Richarlison, with the Lilywhites expected to be in the market for a new striker.
