Juventus were left stunned by Tottenham’s half-price deadline day magic as the Lilywhites secured one of the surprises of the transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur’s deadline day activities saw them secure the signing of Kolo Muani, while also sanctioning the departure of a few of their own stars.

Muani joined Tottenham on a season-long loan without an option or obligation to make his switch permanent, becoming Spurs’ sixth signing of the summer window.

The Frenchman is set to provide further reinforcement up front for Thomas Frank, who also has Richarlison and Dominic Solanke as options in the number nine position.

GIVEMESPORT have now revealed that Tottenham’s signing of Kolo Muani has left Juventus stunned as they were also in the running for the 26-year-old.

It is believed that the Old Lady was eager to land the French forward this summer as well, after his productive spell in Italy in the second half of the season, where he scored eight times in 16 Serie A appearances.

Juventus offered double Tottenham’s £4.4 million loan fee for Muani earlier in the summer, but PSG instead sanctioned a late move to the Europa League champions.

Spurs were in the race to sign Muani back in the winter window, but the forward opted to join Juventus instead.

However, it looks like the tables have turned as Tottenham are now the ones who look to have gotten one over the Italian side, who eventually signed Lois Openda from Leipzig.

With this being a World Cup season, it is understood that Muani is eager to leave a mark in England, as he looks to push for a spot in the French national team.

Tottenham are also believed to be open to making Muani’s move permanent if he does impress during his loan spell this season.
