Kevin Danso has named the artist he will likely choose for inspiration as part of the song he must sing as part of his Tottenham Hotspur initiation, and it is one that Spurs fans will love.

Tottenham Hotspur announced a few days ago they have completed their first signing of the summer window after Danso completed his £21m transfer.

Danso joined Tottenham from RC Lens in the winter window, initially on loan, and has since featured in 15 games for the club across all competitions, often filling in for Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven at the heart of the Spurs defence when required.

In the Europa League final, the Austrian international played a crucial role for Ange Postecoglou, after the manager turned to a back five in the closing stages to help protect a slender 1-0 lead, with Danso coming on and doing a job late in the second half.

Kevin Danso reveals Spurs initiation song choice

With the centre-back now officially a Tottenham player following the permanent deal, Kevin Danso has revealed the artist he will likely be using for inspiration to complete his initiation.

A trend in recent years has seen the expectations of new signings having to stand up and sing a song in front of their team-mates, usually on a pre-season tour.

The defender admitted that singing is not his strong suit, but said he will still go through with it, opting for a track by Adele – a known Spurs supporter – as his choice.

Speaking to Kronen Zeitung, he said, “Probably something by Adele, she is a Spurs fan,” when asked which song he would be choosing.

When quizzed on whether he could sing, Danso responded, “No, not at all, but I like to sing. I even have a karaoke machine at home.”

While he may not be relishing the chance to belt out vocals in front of the squad, the defender does appear to be enjoying life in London, as he shared his thoughts on the city.

“Yes, I love it. There is a lot to do here, there is always something going on. I just cannot handle the traffic jams,” he added.

Spurs still active in the transfer market despite Danso signing

While Tottenham have secured the signature of Kevin Danso, reports suggest the club remain active in the market and are looking to make further additions.

The word around Hotspur Way is that Spurs are aiming to strengthen three key positions in the squad – defence, midfield and attack – with multiple new faces expected to arrive.
