Vinai Venkatesham arrived at Hotspur Way this morning, with Thomas Frank also present at Tottenham’s training HQ.

Frank is under big pressure at Tottenham following the team’s latest defeat to West Ham United in the Premier League.

Change our mind: Tottenham must pay whatever it takes to SACK Thomas Frank…

Callum Wilson’s stoppage-time winner for the visitors secured their first win in 11 matches, highlighting the severity of the situation in North London.

Tottenham are now holding talks over Frank’s future, and a decision will need to be made quickly with a Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

Vinai Venkatesham arrived at Tottenham’s training ground this morning

Vinai Venkatesham was present at Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground this morning with a decision set to be made on Thomas Frank’s future, according to James Green.

Tottenham’s CEO was spotted arriving at Hotspur Way, with the club’s head coach having already entered the building earlier this morning.

The Lewis Family wanted to give Frank time; however, losing to the team sitting in 18th in the Premier League has forced them to have a rethink.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Frank believes that the team are still heading in the right direction, despite a ninth Premier League defeat of the season.

Fill in the blank: My number one choice to replace Thomas Frank at Tottenham is ________________

“If we’re winning, it will change [the reaction of the fans] and we will. I still think we are closer [to turning things around] than further away,” Frank told Standard Sport.

Cristian Romero did the post-match interview, something he doesn’t usually do, again highlighting how the players feel about the situation.

The Spurs News estimated that Tottenham would need to pay around £8 million to sack Frank, which is roughly one year of his annual salary.

But Venkatesham’s arrival at the training ground this morning feels like a fairly significant development in the club’s stance on sacking him.

Vinai Venkatesham’s telling Tottenham statement

Earlier this week, Venkatesham released a statement at Tottenham addressing the fans, detailing the club’s plans.

However, Alasair Gold noted that he failed to mention Frank during the statement, which could be quite telling about his future.

Gold told his YouTube channel: “I did feel it was noticeable when Venkatesham’s very long and detailed open letter to the Spurs fans, which I thought was quite a good letter on the whole.

“He admits that actions speak louder than words, but I noticed within that letter, I’m sure you did too, he mentioned everything but the head coach he’d employed.”
