Tottenham Hotspur asked Al-Nassr about forward Ângelo’s situation in the final days of the January transfer window.

That’s according to journalist Eduardo Burgos. He reports that Tottenham asked about the 21-year-old but were quickly rebuffed. According to his information, Al-Nassr see the Brazilian winger as more of a topic for the summer.

Ângelo has only been with them since September 2024. He joined the Saudi Arabian side in a €23m deal from Chelsea in September that year.

He’s a product of Santos’ youth set up, before joining Chelsea for €15m in 2023. He only stayed at Stamford Bridge for a month before being moved on to sister club Strasbourg. He returned to Chelsea the following summer before then moving to the Middle East.

The youngster has since managed six goals and 16 assists in 64 games for Al-Nassr. According to Burgos, that’s enough to have earned Tottenham’s attention. They asked about him in the final days of the January window but were pushed away by Al-Nassr.

We’ll take that with a pinch of salt, though. His numbers alone would make him a strange signing for Tottenham to attempt, particularly after paying big for Mohamed Kudus. There’s also been no mention of them being keen in Brazil, where they’d be all over such a story usually.

That makes us doubt it for the time being. He’s a name to keep an eye on for the summer, with a deadline day move certainly not happening.
