Leeds United 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur: the full-time reaction

Leeds United beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at Elland Road, and Dan Moylan, Michael Normanton and Rob Conlon give their full-time reaction on The Match Ball, with the live stream open to TSB+ members. Noah Okafor scores the winner after coming off the bench, and the mood is relief: Dan says football feels "alright again", and Rob adds that life just feels better when Leeds United win.

They start with the man of the match vote, where Tarik Muharemović leads from Okafor and Melvin Bard, with James Trafford fourth. Rob describes Muharemović sprinting to the South Stand at the final whistle, so wound up that Trafford set off to join him and thought better of it. The hosts agree the first half is disjointed. Spurs gradually get a foothold in the first half, and Gudmundsson, who had the beating of Porro early on, tires, and Leeds struggle to get the ball off the floor from wide in the 3-5-2. Bard's arrival changes that, with earlier deliveries behind the Spurs defence, and Michael enjoys his solid tackling. They also laugh that Leeds finally have two proper left-backs.

The Jayden Bogle challenge that injures a Spurs winger gets a long look. The red card is checked, then not given, and Michael wonders why VAR cannot simply give a yellow instead. They discuss Daniel Farke calling Bogle his butterfly, with Michael taking requests and ending by singing Crazy Town. Spurs scorn comes in the shape of the chant about money, Rob's dislike of Leeds fans singing it before full time, and what they make of Spurs spending £80-90 million on players who disappoint.

On the goal, they praise Harry Wilson's touch for Okafor and Okafor's finishing. Trafford gets plenty of credit after the Bournemouth mistake, especially for his save and for playing the same pass out again that got him criticised last week. Muharemović and Elvedi are called a pair of centre-backs you can trust, though Michael worries that all the praise is potentially setting Muharemović up for a fail. Ao Tanaka's ratting around and Ampadu's tackles get a mention, and the hosts talk about the late scramble, with Leeds eighth after ten games.

Daniel Farke's and Daniele De Zerbi's post-match comments are read out, and the show finishes with Dan's dad rehoming a three-year-old Labrador and the first-half goalless draw at the FA Cup tie. The hosts are also speaking to Beren Cross, whose interview lands on Monday.
