Leeds United fans have all made the same point about Dominic Calvert-Lewin following his latest performance in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke’s men lost 2-1 against Tottenham Hotspur, with goals from Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus proving too much for the newly promoted side.

It was another game without a goal for Leeds United’s striker, though, with Calvert-Lewin failing to get himself on the scoresheet.

Calvert-Lewin joined Leeds United during the summer on a free transfer following the end of his Everton contract, but he has yet to showcase the form he previously showed in the Premier League.

Leeds United supporters are unimpressed by Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s wasteful performance

Calvert-Lewin led the line for Leeds United against Tottenham and tried to be heavily involved in the game throughout it, playing a role in Noah Okafor’s goal with his build-up play.

However, when it came to his attacking output and finding the back of the net, he could not make the impact that fans were looking for.

The former Everton striker had several golden opportunities to score but wasted them, angering the Leeds United faithful, who have wondered if he’s the right man for them.

One supporter wasted no time calling the striker out by saying, “Calvert-Lewin taking three touches when through on goal. Blazing it high and wide. Really, really poor.”

Another bluntly said, that Calvert-Lewin is “as useless as he has always been,” showcasing that they were less than impressed by his performance.

Another supporter said, “If Calvert-Lewin could finish, he’d be a top striker. Just wastes too many chances,” before adding that he was “not good enough” today.

One fan was slightly more positive. He admitted he “likes what Calvert-Lewin offers us,” but ultimately feels that he’s still not the right man for the job. They added, “I don’t think he’s powerful enough to be the saviour.”

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s stats against Tottenham Hotspur

Calvert-Lewin has been looking to get his career back on track at Elland Road after several injury-ravaged seasons towards the end of his Everton run.

However, the England international has only scored once for the Whites and wasn’t able to change that against Spurs.

It was a frustrating game for him as the 28-year-old struggled to get into the game as he was left to feed on scraps, having only made 23 touches throughout the 90 minutes.
