Tottenham Hotspur are looking to offload Manor Solomon, but it remains to be seen whether Leeds United can get a deal over the line amid Premier League competition.

Manor Solomon never got going at Tottenham Hotspur, despite some high expectations. He joined off the back of a successful loan spell at Fulham, but has been given very few chances to impress under Ange Postecoglou.

This season has been a more positive experience for Solomon, who has been playing his football in the Championship. He made 41 appearances in all competitions, helping Leeds United secure the league title and promotion back to the Premier League.

Solomon is unlikely to be playing his football at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season, however, he may be on the move again, as a permanent move to Leeds United is now under threat.

Manor Solomon could leave Tottenham for Everton

It is no secret that Solomon has no future at Tottenham, but his next destination is less certain. A move to Leeds United would make sense after a successful season for the club, but there is reason to believe Everton could beat them to his signature.

CEO Angus Kinnear recently swapped Leeds for Everton and according to The Athletic, the businessman was key in bringing Solomon to Leeds due to his relationship with Daniel Levy.

Both Leeds and Everton are reportedly interested in the same players and Kinnear will have an idea of his old team’s transfer strategy. His new involvement at Everton could potentially put them in the lead for securing Solomon from Spurs.

Solomon never got going at Spurs and is unlikely to get the chance

Solomon may feel hard done by after being shipped off on loan by Tottenham. He only made six appearances for the North London outfit, and only half of those matches were starts.

A knee injury ended his season prematurely, and since then, he has not played for Spurs. The question now is not about whether Solomon will stay at Tottenham, but about where he will end up next.
