Last Word on Sports brings you the latest team news and predicted lineups for the Leeds United vs Tottenham Hotspur Premier League game this weekend.
After a promising start, Daniel Farke’s Leeds have struggled in recent weeks, drawing three and losing two of their last five games, scoring just two goals in that period. Meanwhile, it’s a completely different picture for Roberto De Zerbi and Spurs, who are chasing a fourth consecutive league win for the first time since 2023.

Leeds United Team News
Speaking ahead of Leeds United vs Tottenham, Farke confirmed that Joe Rodon is in contention to make his long-awaited return to the side against former club Spurs.
He said: “Good news with Joe Rodon, he is back in full team training this week. Of course he was out for quite a time but it is definitely good because he is an important player for us.”
However, the Whites boss revealed that both Noah Okafor and Anton Stach are ‘major’ doubts for the weekend, leaving his side light in attack.
On key man Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has been named in Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad, Farke said he was still dealing with a foot injury.
He added: “Calvert-Lewin had a little setback with his foot as well, was not able to train with us today but I would say I am carefully optimistic that he will be back in training tomorrow.”
Tottenham Hotspur Team News
In his pre-match press conference on Friday, De Zerbi said Savio, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons all remain unavailable for the trip to Leeds.
Tosin Adarabioyo could make his return to the matchday squad after re-joining team training on Thursday.
Rodrigo Bentancur is also available after serving his three-match suspension for the red card he picked up against Manchester United.
On tomorrow’s opponents, the Italian said: “The intensity of Leeds is great, especially at home. Not many teams defend as five but build up with four, especially on the right side.
“But we have the right qualities to play a good game. Our target is to play well and get the right result.”

The Last Word: Match Prediction
With last weekend’s chastening defeat at Bournemouth still fresh in the memory, where Leeds failed to register a single shot on target in 90 minutes, the Elland Road faithful will be expecting a strong response from their team.
With no wins in their last five and the international break looming, Farke will be hoping to get his side back on track as they look to secure their Premier League status. What has been particularly disappointing is the lack of cutting edge, with the Whites scoring just twice in their last five games. Only 19th-placed Nottingham Forest and rock-bottom Sunderland have scored fewer this campaign.
For Spurs, three wins on the bounce and two clean sheets in a row suggest that De Zerbi has finally been able to turn his side into a consistent, well-disciplined outfit, which has taken some serious work. The North Londoners could make it four consecutive league victories for the first time since October 2023 under Ange Postecoglou, and arrive at Elland Road slight favourites.
