Daniel Levy has restored some faith among Tottenham supporters this summer.

The Spurs chairman appears to have turned a corner in the transfer market, and would have made two marquee signings within days of each other had it not been for Nottingham Forest blocking a deal for Morgan Gibbs-White.

It’s a far cry from summers gone by, which left previous managers frustrated by the 63-year-old’s hesitancy to go after primary targets.

However, Levy still has a poor track record in selling players, especially those that cost Spurs dearly, and will be looking to turn that around to recoup some of the losses made during this window.

Palmeiras show strong interest in signing Richarlison

Tottenham’s four signings this summer have left Thomas Frank with over thirty senior players in his squad, many of whom are expected to leave.

MORE SPURS STORIES

One of those is Richarlison, who has two years left on his deal and has failed to live up to his hefty price tag since arriving from Everton in July 2022.

The Brazil striker managed only one Premier League goal in his debut season in North London before injuries started to take their toll.

Now 28 years old, Spurs are ready to cash in and have been handed a boost as Palmeiras are showing strong interest in signing Richarlison, as reported by Brazilian outlet Terra (15 July).

The São Paulo club have made contact with Tottenham, and are not deterred by the Lilywhites’ valuation of £55million for the former Watford man.

Palmeiras’ run to the quarter final in the Club World Cup has afforded them significant funding to make the ambitious move.

Having expected to take a loss on selling Richarlison this summer, Levy could pull off a masterstroke for Tottenham if he holds out for a fee close to what they signed the forward for three years ago.

Dominic Solanke will need support next season

Last season, Tottenham played 60 games across all competitions, which put considerable strain on certain players in the squad, including Dominic Solanke.

The England international played in all but one game he was fit for as Richarlison struggled with fitness, while Son Heung-min and Mathys Tel could not take up the mantle.

Frank will know that Solanke will need much more support next season, especially with UEFA Champions League football to contend with, and must sign at least one striker who can offer the former Bournemouth man some respite.
