Tottenham Hotspur have been urged to replace Igor Tudor with former Brighton and Newcastle manager Chris Hughton until the end of the season.

The north London side are believed to be considering their options after a nightmare start under Tudor, having lost all four of their games and conceded 14 goals.

While the likes of Sean Dyche, Robbie Keane and Ryan Mason have been linked with the job, journalist Matt Law has urged Spurs to also take a closer look at Hughton.

The 67-year-old, who spent 13 years at Spurs as a player and another six as an assistant manager, is currently out of work after being sacked as Ghana head coach in January 2024.

Tottenham Urged to Appoint Chris Hughton

Writing on X, Law said Hughton would be 'his pick' to replace Tudor until the end of the season, with his calm presence and historical link to Spurs making him a sensible option.

Hughton last managed in England during the 2021/22 season, when he was sacked by Nottingham Forest after failing to win any of their first seven games in the Championship.

Previously, he spent four-and-a-half seasons at Brighton, whom he took to the Premier League in 2017 and secured top-flight finishes of 15th and 17th.

Hughton was relieved of his Ghana duties following a group-stage exit from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, having won just four of his 13 games in charge in total.

Tottenham Delay Tudor Sack Decision

Tottenham are not planning to make an immediate decision on Tudor’s future ahead of Sunday’s visit to Liverpool.

As GIVEMESPORT revealed on Wednesday, the Croatian is expected to remain in charge in the short term, despite the club failing to win their first four games under his management.

Spurs suffered a heavy 5-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League this week, conceding four goals within the first 22 minutes.

Tudor came under scrutiny for his treatment of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, who was substituted just 15 minutes into his Champions League debut.

With Tottenham potentially considering Dyche, Keane and Mason as replacements for Tudor, we asked ChatGPT to assess the three candidates:
