Liverpool have reportedly agreed their fourth deal of the summer with Arne Slot wasting no time in the transfer market. The Reds have been the Premier League's busiest club, having already completed a number of early moves. Jeremie Frimpong became their first signing of the window earlier this month, arriving from Bayer Leverkusen on a six-year contract.

They have also lost two key players in the weeks since they lifted the Premier League trophy at Anfield. Trent Alexander-Arnold has completed his long-awaited move to Real Madrid, who paid £10million to sign him in time for the Club World Cup. Caoimhin Kelleher has also left the club, joining Brentford in a deal worth around £18m.

Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of finalising their fourth summer deal, with a young goalkeeper set to arrive in the coming days. Armin Pecsi will join the Reds from Puskas Akademia in a club-record sale for the Hungarian outfit, according to Fabrizio Romano.

It is said that Pecsi has given the green light to Liverpool's project with personal terms already settled. A few minor details are still being ironed out at club level, but the move is expected to go through without a hitch.

Pecsi made 30 league appearances for Puskas Akademia in the season just gone, keeping nine clean sheets. The 22-year-old was born in Austria but has represented Hungary at youth international level.

He was previously nominated for the prestigious Golden Boy award in recognition of his stellar displays between the sticks. Liverpool will be hoping to nurture his talent so that he becomes an important player for them in the future.

The Reds are well-stacked in goal with Alisson Becker widely expected to retain the gloves next season. He will be supported by Giorgi Mamardashvili, who is set to offer competition for a starting spot and provide injury cover.

Pecsi, therefore, might struggle to play first-team football unless he is given the opportunity to impress in domestic cups. It remains to be seen if he will be loaned out in his debut season to gain further experience.

Liverpool have also been working on a blockbuster deal to sign Florian Wirtz, who is said to be close to joining the Reds. If the move goes ahead, it will see them pay a record transfer fee with Bayer Leverkusen thought to be demanding around £126m.

Wirtz is reportedly eager to join Liverpool despite interest from the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester City. Although terms are yet to be fully agreed, there is an expectation that he will arrive on Merseyside in the near future.
