Eight points from their final five games will secure Liverpool UEFA Champions League football next season.
The Reds sit fifth in the Premier League table, which is good enough for Champions League qualification again this season, and should stay there between now and the end of the campaign.
That is the bare minimum for the reigning champions, who have endured a tumultuous season in Arne Slot's second year in charge.
Much was expected of Liverpool after winning the title last year and then splashing more than £400million on new players in last summer's transfer window.
Liverpool May Be Looking For A New Manager Too
But they have failed to live up to the hype and it is likely that big changes will once again be made this summer, potentially in the dugout too, with Slot under increasing pressure.
Finding a replacement for Mohamed Salah will be one of the top priorities after the Egyptian confirmed he would be leaving the Mersysiders this summer, a year early after agreeing to terminate his contract at Anfield.
And Liverpool are being linked with a surprise name to replace him - Randal Kolo Muani.
The Frenchman has spent this season on loan with Tottenham Hotspur and has struggled to find any sort of form or rhythm. He has scored just one Premier League goal, adding one assist, in 25 matches, although has netted four times in the Champions League.
Kolo Muani is wanted by Juventus - for whom he played on loan in the 2024/25 season - with his time at Paris Saint-Germain seemingly over. But Liverpool could throw a spanner in the Juve works.
Randal Kolo Muani Would Be A Surprise Transfer Target
According to Gazetta, Liverpool have made a move to sign Kolo Muani this summer, identifying him as a potential replacement for Salah.
The Gazetta report states: "The Reds' management sees Kolo Muani as a player capable of replacing the Egyptian in the squad, thanks to his versatility and ability to operate even off the right flank."
Liverpool being able to offer Champions League football would certainly act in their favour in any transfer talks, with Juve not guaranteed to finish in the top four in Serie A this season. The Old Lady sit fourth in the standings with five games to go, three points adrift of second and third and with a five-point cushion to fifth-placed Como.
Liverpool are sure to be linked with a number of wide players this summer, but the suggestion of a move for Kolo Muani is certainly one out of left-field, given the season he has had with Tottenham.
